“Night Swim” Horror Film Trailers, Featurettes and Poster

Bryce McGuire directed Night Swim, which follows Ray Waller, played by Wyatt Russell. He secretly hopes, against the odds, to return to pro ball. He persuades Eve, played by Kerry Condon, that the new home’s shimmering backyard swimming pool will be fun for the kids.

The pool will also provide physical therapy for him. But a dark secret in the home’s past will unleash an evil force that will drag the family into the depths of inescapable terror.

Based on the acclaimed 2014 short film by Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McGuire, a degenerative illness forces Ray into early retirement. His concerned wife, teenage daughter Izzy, played by Amélie Hoeferle, and young son Elliot, played by Gavin Warren, move into the home with a possessed pool.

Amélie Hoeferle and Gavin Warren also star in the film.

“The Woman in the Window” Poster and Trailer

Directed by Joe Wright, The Woman in the Window is a psychological suspense thriller with a stellar cast. But, don’t fall for the psychotropic drugs because the psychiatric industry labels a person, so Big Pharma can make money and ruin lives. If this woman, played by Amy Adams, were not on these drugs, she’d function just fine.

As the story goes, a child psychologist, Adams, befriends a neighbor, played by Julianne Moore, across the street from her New York City brownstone, only to see her own life turned upside down when the woman disappears, and she suspects foul play.

Tracy Letts’ screenplay based on the gripping, best-selling novel, brings to life, where shocking secrets revealed, and no one-and nothing-is what it seems.

Also starring is Gary Oldman, Anthony Mackie, Wyatt Russell, Brian Tyree Henry, and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

“Overlord” Trailers and Poster

Directed by Julius Avery and produced by J.J.Abrams, very little content is available regarding this movie. Their publicity department says “The story of two American soldiers behind enemy lines on D Day.”

Those words could mean anything about World War II, but watch the trailer and it is obvious Overlord, written by a couple of screenwriters, Billy Ray, and Mark L. Smith, is a horror movie. My feature image proves as well it is a horror movie.

Billy Ray wrote some impressive scripts from Shattered Glass to The Hunger Games. Mark L. Smith biggest credit is The Revenant.  Overlord may prove to be a fruitful horror movie for fans of the genre.

Avery other movies include Son of a Gun and Jerrycan.

Overlord cast includes Wyatt Russell, Bokeem Woodbine, and Pilou Asbæk.

The final movie trailer tells the story of what we will see when we go to the movie. I like the style of the music and attitude of the overall theme.

The movie trailer shows several Americans parachuting into German territory and confronting a Nazi experimental lab gone gruesome and horrific. The poster adds to the several parachuting with the parachutes in blood red.
