The Strangers: Prey At Night Posters and Trailer

Directed by Johannes Roberts and co-written by Bryan Bertino and Ben Ketai, The Strangers: Prey at Night follows a family on a road trip as it turns into a dangerous horrific trip when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park. The plan is to stay with relatives but find the place deserted, which is as puzzling as most horror movie stories play to the end.

Under the creepy night of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s limit as they are driven to the verge of insanity as they struggle to survive.

The horror movie is inspired by the 2008 horror winner The Strangers about a young couple being tested by three masked assailants. The movie was directed by Bryan Bertino who co-wrote Prey at Night.

The trailer is horrific so enjoy the terror.

First Images of 20th Century Fox’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Sophie Turner stars as Jean Grey.

Twentieth Century Fox just released the first images of their next X-Men movie, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, directed by Simon Kinberg who has written quite a few of the franchise movies including this one.

The movie stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven/Mystique, and Jessica Chastain as Smith.

Simon Kinberg and Michael Fassbender

New faces and a new director who is very familiar with the story that follows Jean Grey, played by Turner, who begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix.

The story is an extended version of the fictional Marvel Comics’ series penned by both Chris Claremont and illustrated by both Dave Cockrum and John Bryne.

Jessica Chastain as Smith

The X-Men will have to decide if the life of a team member is worth more than all the people living in the world. That shouldn’t be too hard to figure out. Don’t you think?

As soon as X-Men: Dark Phoenix is out, I will be posting it.

Ocean’s 8 Trailer is Upbeat with Bullock and the Girls

Directed and co-written by Gary Ross, Ocean’s 8,  follows Danny Ocean’s estranged sister Debbie, played by Sandra Bullock, attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala. Her first stop is to assemble the perfect crew: Lou, Rose, Daphne Kluger, Nine Ball, Tammy, Amita, and Constance. These roles are played part and parcel by Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, and Dakota Fanning in an undisclosed role.

Avengers Infinity War Trailer

I must have watched the trailer over ten times to count how many superheroes are in this movie. Infinity of superheroes is definitely the way to interpret the title.

Then, at the very end of the trailer, we see and hear Thor say, “Who are you guys?”  I like the line better in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, “Who are those guys?”

The poster is slick but doesn’t say much. When the character posters come out it will be an epic download for all the fans.

The movie will be fun entertainment, and I look forward to seeing more trailers, clips, and sound bites.

Incredibles – Rising Son Trailer

It’s about time! Incredibles is one of my favorite Pixar movies. I wonder if the movie will be able to hold its uniqueness because the first movie had a clever twist. Superheroes were against the law. It’s interesting how Pixar will simply insert a similarity to something treacherous that happened in our history as an incredible animated movie that appears innocuous.

The logo being altered by Jack-Jack is clever and is the handwriting on the wall that is telling us Incredibles 2 will be a great and entertaining movie. I am excited.

Titled Rising Son with the same talented voices Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) is left to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life, giving him an opportunity to bond with his younger son, Jack-Jack, whose superpowers are emerging—much to Dad’s surprise.

I can’t believe it, Brad Bird is returning to Pixar and directing this movie.

Fifty Shades Freed Posters, Trailers, and TV Spot

Watching the 63-second trailer offers pretty much the same flavor as the other franchise movies. Only this time, they are married and she just now learned about his (their) private jet.

No surprises, but another trailer will arrive soon, and I will do my best not to miss its release.

Another poster, I find it appealing because this is what the movie is all about, getting his shirt off and more.

Nice and long TV spot. Enjoy.

The next trailer jumps around a lot and keeps us guessing about the story.  We know one thing. They get married but it’s not all blissful.

Pitch Perfect 3 Trailer

Directed by  Trish Sie, the cast just keeps getting larger and larger with an impressive list of talent.

Now graduated from college and out in the real world where it takes more than a cappella to get by, the Bellas return in Pitch Perfect 3, the next chapter in the beloved series that has taken in more than $400 million at the global box office.

After the highs of winning the World Championships, the Bellas find themselves split apart and discovering there aren’t job prospects for making music with your mouth.  But when they get the chance to reunite for an overseas USO tour, this group of awesome nerds will come together to make some music, and some questionable decisions, one last time.

Trainspotting 2 Trailer

Directed by Danny Boyle about 20 years ago, Trainspotting was a  cult sensation that launched Ewan McGregor career and Boyle’s. Boyle winning an Oscar for directing Slumdog Millionaire.

Now, Boyle and McGregor have teamed up again with the sequel to Trainspotting.  What get to see is first there was an opportunity……then there was a betrayal. Twenty years have gone by. Much has changed but just as much remains the same. One thing, there is social media and devices but there are still the enemies.

Mark Renton, played by McGregor, returns to the only place he can ever call home. They are waiting for him. If you have seen the first movie, you know they are Spud, played by Ewen Bremner, Sick Boy, played by Jonny Lee Miller, and Begbie, played by Robert Carlyle.

Other old friends are waiting too with emotions like sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine (Heroin), self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid – The Long Haul Trailer

Just about a whole new cast in the latest installment of the Wimpy Kid franchise. It looks like fun, but a road trip? I could be fun. Hang on tight because I see some familiar faces.
