“Avatar: The Way of Water” Trailers and Images

Directed by James Cameron, Avatar: The Way of Water first trailer arrived 13 years after the first Avatar appeared on the screen, and we experienced the glowing vistas of Pandora.

Jake, played by Sam Worthington, and Neytiri, played by Zoe Saldana, have their own family now, involving Na’vi kids Lo’ak, played by Britain Dalton, Neteyam, played by Jamie Flatters and Tuktirey, played by Trinity Bliss. But there is also a human child, Mile Socorro, nicknamed Spider, played by Jack Champion.

The sequel offers adventures with deep dives into Pandora’s oceans and epic combats, typical of Cameron’s movies.

Producer Jon Landau told Empire, “This time around, we’re taking Jake and Neytiri and building the most universal theme of all around. Which is family. Jake comes from the human world, and Neytiri from the Na’vi world. So, they’re like a modern mixed-race couple, raising kids who perhaps feel they don’t belong to one world or another.”

The rest of the cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, Van Diesel and Giovanni Ribisi.

Avatar 2 arrives in movie theaters in December 2022.

“Terminator: Dark Fate” Posters, Clips, Featurette & Trailers

Directed by Tim Miller, Terminator: Dark Fate continues the Terminator franchise that launched the careers of James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and I am sure dozen others who work behind the scenes in the production.

The story attaches several writers to the screenplay with David Goyer, Justin Rhodes, and Billy Ray credited. James Cameron, who produced the movie, too, Charles Eglee, and Josh Friedman credited for the overall story along with Goyer.

The movie follows Linda Hamilton, who played the original Sarah Connor. She joins a group of misfit survivors. Their purpose to keep a particular young woman, who can save the world, alive. They eventually hook up with Arnold Schwarzenegger, who plays T-800. It appears there are many T-800s or half-human and half robots in this movie. Some are good and some not so good, downright deadly.

Cameron and the two main characters are back.

The excitement of Hamilton and Schwarzenegger returning to their iconic roles is the driving force of the franchise claiming the box office, once again. Miller established himself as a director in the business for directing Deadpool.   Goyer also wrote The Dark Knight and Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.

One-page production notes indicate the latest installment follows the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day and the cast includes Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta. You might recognize Davis who played Tully in the Tully.

The third trailer looks inviting and entertaining. I am thinking about seeing it in the movie theater before it comes out on Blu-ray.

Watching this Spanish featurette, you can see the original Terminator storyline in the new movie. A woman is being chased by a robotic, and another robotic is trying to protect her. She needs to be kept alive to save the world. The scenes look sharp, and the acting is perfect. Call it nostalgia, seeing Hamilton and Schwarzenegger together, again, is way cool.

“Sarah’s Entrance” movie clip is perfect. She knows the lay of the land.

The feedback from people who have seen the movie is positive, and they say it’s similar to T2, which is a good thing.

The next clip is so cool to watch. We see the original Terminator, Schwarzenegger, take on the newest version.

“Alita: Battle Angel” Trailers, Featurettes, Movie Clips, Interviews, Music

Directed by Robert Rodriguez, Alita: Battle Angel vision from not only Rodriguez but from filmmaker James Cameron. The movie is an epic tale about adventure, hope, and empowerment.

The movie clip is so cool to watch,  yet you can see the CGI happening when and where. Still, Alita is dynamite.

Alita, played by Rosa Salazar, awakens with no memory of who she is in a future world she does not recognize. Ido, played by Christoph Waltz, takes care of her as a compassionate doctor who realizes that somewhere in this abandoned cyborg shell is the heart and soul of a young woman. A young woman with an extraordinary past.

As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious history while her street-smart new friend Hugo, played by Keean Johnson, offers instead to help trigger her memories.

She soon discovers a clue to her past when the deadly and corrupt forces that run the city come after her. She finds out about her unique fighting abilities, and those in power will stop at nothing to control her abilities. If she can stay out of their grasp, she could be the key to saving her friends, her family, and the world she’s grown to love.

The next trailer shows more of the story and what happens in the movie.

Directed by Robert Rodriguez, Alita: Battle Angel vision from not only Rodriguez but from filmmaker James Cameron.

The latest trailer shows more of the story and how she regains her superpowers.

The latest poster of Alita Rose is so cool and Gothic looking.

The Blu-ray, DVD, and streaming are available for those who missed it in the theater or want to see it again.  The 4K format includes 3D.

The featurette praises Rosa Salazar’s work on camera, and they talk about the source for the movie.

The next movie clip shows Alita practicing her martial arts moves in front of a mirror. It appears she is starting to recall her past. She is realizing that she is one strong force to be reckoned.

I like the underworld, Borg-guy’s line “Dance little flea!”

The movie clip is very cool to watch and the CGI is amazing.

The featurette shares all the secrets of how they filmed the animated version of Alita. We hear from all the techies, including James Cameron, who envisioned her and the technology while making Avatar.

The 30 second commercial aired before the Superbowl kick-off. That cost the studio so pretty dollars. The TV spot shows a lot for such a short amount of time – the cast is stellar.

James Cameron articulates the story about Alita. He illuminates on how he enjoyed writing the screenplay with her in mind. The difficulty in finding flaws in Alita because she has no fear. He talks about working with Rodriguez and trying to get him to take the movie and make it his own.

Rodriguez talks about working with Cameron and wanting to make a Cameron movie. He has a tremendous amount of respect for Cameron and clearly wants to emulate his vision and talent.

Here is the star of the movie Rosa Salazar talking about Alita at the LA premiere.

The next two clips are a featurette and a movie clip about Motorball. The sport is part of the movie, and the featurette shows how the production brought it to the movie clip.

The next featurette is all about Alita. Who is she?

The music composer for Alita: Battle Angel, Junkie XL, song writing is amazing and it’s so cool to hear how he creates the movie for Alita and key scenes in the movie.
