“Monkey Man” Trailers, Clips, Featurettes and Poster

Based on Hanuman’s legend, Monkey Man features Dev Patel as the writer, producer, director, and actor.

The film has Jordan Peele attached as a producer, best known for directing Get Out. Other directorial films are Nope and Us.

An icon embodying strength and courage, Kid, played by Patel, is an anonymous young man who ekes out a meager living in an underground fight club. Night after night, he gets mercilessly beaten by better-known fighters while wearing a gorilla mask to make some cash.

Kid, fueled by years of repressed anger, uncovers a method to penetrate the exclusive stronghold of the city’s evil upper class. His childhood trauma resurfaces, leading to a vengeful campaign against those who wronged him.

The rest of the cast includes Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Sikandar Kher, Sobhita Dhulipala, Ashwini Kalsekar, Adithi Kalkunte, and Makarand Deshpande.

Daring Compromise of “The Personal History of David Copperfield” Poster and Trailer

Set the stage with David Copperfield from Charles Dickens' story

Directed by Armando Iannucci, we follow the story based on Charles Dickens’ classic tale of grit and determination. Dev Patel plays the lead role in The Personal History of David Copperfield. The studio calls it re-imagines of Charles Dickens’ story, giving it a comedic lens of the Dickensian tale.

Still, a remake is a remake, even though they say “new life of the story for a cosmopolitan age with a diverse ensemble cast of stage and screen actors from across the world.”

Armando Iannucci also co-wrote the screenplay with Simon Blackwell. They seem to lend their wry, yet heart-filled storytelling style to revisiting Dickens’ iconic hero on his quirky journey from impoverished orphan to the burgeoning writer in Victorian England.

Other cast members include Hugh Laurie and Tilda Swinton.

“Hotel Mumbai” Poster, Trailer, Clips, and Featurette

Co-written and directed by Anthony Maras, Hotel Mumbai is based on true events that happened in 2008. Terrorists in Mumbai, India, sieged the famed Taj Hotel.

Among the dedicated hotel staff is the renowned chef Hemant Oberoi, played by Anupam Kher, and a waiter, played by Dev Patel. They both choose to risk their lives to protect their guests.

The movie shows how the world watches, and a desperate couple, played by Armie Hammer and Nazanin Boniadi, is forced to make unthinkable sacrifices to protect their newborn child. John Issacs also stars in the movie, but his character’s role in the story isn’t clear.

John Collee co-wrote the screenplay with Anthony Maras. Collee worked as a doctor in the UK and other countries around the world. Hotel Mumbai is Maras’ first feature movie. He’s produced and directed three shorts.

The movie trailer is intense, and I am impressed with the filming of the movie.

The featurette tells the true story of what happened at the hotel in 2008 when the terrorists arrived. The actors are interviewed and relate to when this happens in real life. There are real-life heroes in this story.

This movie is intense, with undercurrents of fear, distrust, and uncertainties. The fact that it is based on a true story makes it even better. The movie is a plot-driven story by the curiosity of their survival against constant intrusion.
