Tom & Jerry

“Tom & Jerry” Amazingly Flips Exciting Genuine Cartoon

Tom & Jerry

Directed by Tom Story, Tom & Jerry stars several voice actors, which is a concern. The original classic cartoons had no dialogue, and it entertained kids of all ages. Why change it?

All is not lost since the feature film uses archive recordings of William Hanna. Hanna performed all the original shrieks, howls, screeches, yells, gasps, and screams heard in the cat and mouse cartoons of 1942 to 1957.

The second theatrical movie is the first rendition as live-action and animation. It is Warner Bros.’s first animated/live-action hybrid movie. It’s been 28 years since the release of the first Tom and Jerry in 1992.

The voice actors include Michael Pena, Chloe Grace Moretz, Rob Delaney, Colin Jost. The script is by Kevin Costello based on William Hanna and Joseph Barbera characters.  Costello’s screen credits appear limited with Brigsby Bear and one episode for the Jean-Claude Van Johnson series.

“The Addams Family” Animated Movie Poster, Clips & Trailers

The next installment of The Addams Family is an animated family.

Co-directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, The Addams Family, like the television series, the animated movie is silly and dorky. The infamous family once again arrives in a different version – animated.

The television show went from featured film to Broadway and now back as an animated feature film. The family’s trademark of snapping their fingers is being played up in the trailer.

The studio is calling the movie the “first animated comedy about this creepy and kooky clan.” The conflict that keeps the story the movie interesting is not revealed yet. We know the family is still weird, outlandish, bizarre, and keeping to the original Addams Family behavior from the television show.

The all-star voice cast includes Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler, and Allison Janney.

Here is the Instagram version of the trailer. The difference is it’s shorter, and there are captions like a meme.

The next trailer tells us more about the story. Wednesday altering the class Science project by bringing the frogs back to life is hilarious.

The next movie clip shows what to expect from beginning to the end of the movie – intentional mishaps to and fro.

The next clip is for those diehard fans who watched the television series, Broadway show, and movies.

“Greta” Trailer, Movie Clips, & Interviews

Co-written and directed by Neil Jordan, Greta is an awkward movie with many undercurrents as one heck of a scary movie.

Jordan’s directing credits are impressive, with Interview with a Vampire, The End of the Affair, The Crying Game, and Mona Lisa. The story Greta came from Ray Wright, who also co-wrote the screenplay. His credits are few, with movies like Crazies and The Pulse.

The movie follows a young woman Frances, played by  Chloë Grace Moretz, who befriends a widow, played by Isabelle Huppert. The widow is not as sane as she appears. Watch the trailer, and the plot is easy to follow. Maika Monroe also stars in the movie playing Erica. It isn’t clear her character’s role in the story. In the trailer, it appears she is a close friend of Frances or perhaps her sister.

The movie clips show more of the story about how this woman is a crazy psychopath. The third clip is even better and tells more of the story. Greta is looking like a horror movie more and more.

The following clip shows five warning signs that you have a crazy lady stalking you and wanting to kill you. The last warning sign is a huge spoiler.

Moretz talks about the movie and the role she plays. She explains why she likes the film and picked to star in the thriller.

Jordan is best known for directing The Crying Game and Michael Collins. The soundbites with him offer insight into his approach to directing Greta.

The following movie clip shows the difference between the two young woman characters. The movie is a thriller, horror, and suspense. This scene defines Moretz’s character’s vulnerability – kindness and virtue. Is that a realistic quality to drive people to the box office?

“Suspiria” Trailers, Movie Clips, and Poster

Directed by Luca Guadagnino, who directed Call Me By Your Name, Suspiria takes place a the center of a world-renowned dance company. The dark movie follows the company’s artistic director, an ambitious young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist.

A fancy horror movie where some will succumb to the nightmare while others will finally wake up.

The movie stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Dakota Johnson, and Tilda Swinton.

The “Susie’s First Dance” movie clip shows a great intensity and I am not sure why Swinton’s character is drawn to come and watch Susie dance. Is it a telepathic message? Foreboding being sensed by Swinton’s character?

The movie clip shows the stress of being at this dance studio.  I am not quite sure what is happening yet.

Creepy, creepy and creepy is all I can write about the next trailer. No doubt in my mind, this is a horror, suspense movie.

These horror suspense movies always have me guessing what the movie is about. Watch the second trailer, and you will see what I mean.

The movie trailer protends something terrible happening with evil lurking in a small community.
