“The Star” Trailers, Music, and Vignettes

Directed by Timothy Reckart, The Star follows a small but brave donkey named Bo, voiced by Steven Yeun. He yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day, he finds the courage to break free, and finally, he goes on his dream adventure.

On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, voiced by Aidy Bryant, a loveable sheep who has lost her flock and Dave, voiced by Keegan-Michael Key, a dove with lofty aspirations. Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the Star and become unlikely heroes in the most incredible story ever told—the first Christmas.

These are fun to watch, but their language is a bit too modern for the time period.

Enjoy the Vignette about the voice actor for Bo, the donkey.

The list of stellar voice actors is astonishing.

Short Animated Movie, “Puppy!” Trailer

The new animated short Puppy! directed by Hotel Transylvania‘s Genndy Tartakovsky, is attached to The Emoji Movie. In the short, the residents of Hotel Transylvania find their world turned upside down when youngster Dennis gets a surprise monster-sized pet.

“Home Again” Trailer

Directed by Hallie Meyers-Shyer and produced by her mother Nancy Meyers, Home Again follows Alice Kinney,  played by Reese Witherspoon.  She decides to start her life over by moving back to her hometown of Los Angeles with her two young daughters.

Watch the trailer and you will see it is a cute, funny and romantic movie similar to Hallie’s mother’s movies like Something Gotta Give. During a night out on her 40th birthday, Alice meets three aspiring filmmakers who happen to be in need of a place to live. Alice agrees to let the guys stay in her guest house temporarily, but the arrangement ends up unfolding in unexpected ways. Alice’s unlikely new family and new romance

With that, during a night out on her 40th birthday, Alice meets three aspiring filmmakers who happen to be in need of a place to live. Alice agrees to let the guys stay in her guest house temporarily, but the arrangement ends up unfolding in unexpected ways. Alice’s unlikely new family and new romance come to a crashing halt when her ex-husband, played by Michael Sheen, shows up, suitcase in hand.  is a story of love, friendship, and the families we create. And one very big life lesson: Starting over is not for beginners.

This is a fun movie to watch with no seriousness – just plain romping.

“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” Trailers and Vignette

Directed by Jake Kasdan, son of Lawrence Kasdan (Body Heat), who also directed Bad Teacher, Zero Effect, and Sex Tape, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle follows a breakfast club theme where four teenagers end up as avatars in the Jumanji game.

The teenagers discover an old video game console with a game they’ve never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game’s jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatars, played by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan.  Nick Jonas plays one on the teenagers. The trailer is fun to watch since the avatars are against type.

What teenagers discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji –Jumanji plays you. They’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, or they’ll be stuck in the game forever. If you haven’t seen the first Jumanji, then you wouldn’t know how to play the game.

I have to mention the first move because it is awesome and still available with Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst starring.

The newest poster is funnier. It really shows the characters. This could be a fun movie because giving it a Christmas release date shows the studios are banking on it being successful at the box office.  But, box office success doesn’t always mean a fun movie.

“A Bad Moms Christmas” Trailers, Clips, Interviews, Blu-ray/DVD

Co-directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, we are in for more bad mom movies. The movie follows best friends Amy, played by Mila Kunis, Kiki, played by Kristen Bell, and Carla, played by Kathryn Hahn, unburden more stress during the holidays when their respective mothers come to visit.

The Blu-ray/DVD is on the streets even though it is nowhere near Christmas. Somehow, I think you will agree with me. Let’s wait and watch the movie until Christmas. But, if you are an early Christmas shopper, you can get the package now.

With that, here are the two trailers for A Bad Moms Christmas. One of these trailers is a Red Band trailer.  The Red Band trailer is funny. I am laughing!

These clips are so funny that I just have to post each one. Have a good laugh!

“Pitch Perfect 3” Trailers and Blu-Ray/DVD

Directed by  Trish Sie, the cast just keeps getting larger and larger with an impressive list of talent.

Now graduated from college and out in the real world where it takes more than a cappella to get by, the Bellas return in Pitch Perfect 3, the next chapter in the beloved series that has taken in more than $400 million at the global box office.

After the highs of winning the World Championships, the Bellas find themselves split apart and discovering there aren’t job prospects for making music with your mouth.  But when they get the chance to reunite for an overseas USO tour, this group of awesome nerds will come together to make some music, and some questionable decisions, one last time.

The Blu-ray/DVD hit the streets, so if you missed the movie in theaters, and now you can buy the movie for real. The package includes new songs.

Comparing the Blu-ray cover with the movie poster,  the yellow background makes the movie seem lighter not as dark or foreboding.

Perhaps, shoppers are likely to pick up a lighter colored package than a darker one.

“Logan Lucky” Trailer

Directed by Steven Soderbergh, Logan Lucky follows brothers Jimmy, played by Channing Tatum, and Clyde Logan, played by Adam Driver, trying to reverse a family curse. They set out to execute an elaborate robbery during the legendary Coca-Cola 600 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Take a look at this amazing cast that also includes Seth MacFarlane, Riley Keough, Katie Holmes, Katherine Waterson, Dwight Yoakam, Sebastian Stan, Brian Gleeson, Jack Quaid, Hilary Swank and Daniel Craig.

With that, this trailer is so much fun to watch, pure entertainment.

As a TV Spot, this is pretty cool to watch. This is a fun movie to watch.

“Beatriz at Dinner” Trailers

Directed by Miguel Arteta, the movie follows Beatriz, played by Salma Hayek, an immigrant from a poor town in Mexico. She has drawn on her innate kindness to build a career as a health practitioner in Los Angeles. She collides with her polar opposite, a self-satisfied billionaire, played by John Lithgow, at a wealthy client’s dinner party.

Interesting storyline and I hope it comes to a complete end where the audience isn’t left trying to figure out how to end it.

“The Glass Castle” Trailer and Clips

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton with a stellar cast, the movie is based on a book by Jeannette Walls.  The Glass Castle follows a woman’s life that gets turned upside down when her dysfunctional parents move to New York to live nearer to her.

The movie stars Brie Larson, who is from my hometown.  Woody Harrelson, Jennifer Lawrence, Naomi Watts,  and Max Greenfield join Larson.

The movie is being called a comedy-drama. I just hope it hits its mark.

Here is the final poster for the movie. I have also added a featurette that is pretty darn good.  Enjoy!

“Captain Underpants” Funny Movie for Kids

Get ready for an over-the-top, prank-filled superhero comedy that families will love.

Directed by David Soren, Captain Underpants is based on a popular book series and stars Kevin Hart and Ed Helms.

DreamWorks put the movie together, and the winded title is  Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. It’s a light and zippy movie, brimming with jokes, pratfalls, and action akin to a comic book. It’s aimed at kids who also like slightly gross humor and superhero parody.

This raucously subversive comedy for the entire family tells the story of two overly imaginative pranksters, George and Harold. They hypnotize their school principal, Mr. Drupp, into thinking he’s a ridiculously enthusiastic, incredibly dimwitted superhero, Captain Underpants.

I thought all school principals thought they were superheroes.
