From the directing team, Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, Platonic is a comedy that follows a platonic pair of former best friends, played by Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne.
Approaching midlife, they reconnect after a long rift.
The friendship becomes all-consuming—and hilariously destabilizes their lives.
The ensemble cast also stars Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, Carla Gallo and Andrew Lopez.
Written and directed by Jon Stewart, Irresistible brings a flare of comedy about a Democrat political consultant, played by Steve Carell,) who helps a retired Marine colonel, played by Chris Cooper, run for mayor in a small Wisconsin town.
Co-written and directed by Will Gluck, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway greets Peter, played by James Corden. He and his friends return for more ventures.
The rabbits created a makeshift family, but despite his best efforts, Peter can’t seem to shake his mischievous reputation.
Adventuring out of the garden, Peter finds himself in a world where his mischief is appreciated, but when his family risks everything to come looking for him, Peter must figure out what kind of bunny he wants to be.
Patrick Burleigh is also an actor and a director, co-wrote the screenplay with Gluck based on the stories by Beatrice Potter. Gluck is also a producer and is known for Easy A, Friends with Benefits, Annie, Peter Rabbit, and several TV shows, including The Michael J. Fox Show.
The rest of the cast includes Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson, David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Debicki, and Margot Robbie.
The second trailer is very different from the first trailer. The second trailer shows an adventurous story of Peter trying to save his friends while Mr. Gregor helps because he is a father to these crazy animals.
Written and directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, Jexi is a comedy that follows Phil, played by Adam Devine, who is in love with his phone. The movie is about the ramifications of what can happen when you love your phone more than anything else in your life.
Lucas and Moore brought us the two Bad Moms movies and wrote The Hangover, so this movie is gross and disgusting. It also stars Rose Byrne and Michael Pena. Enjoy the Redband trailer.
The second trailer is much better than the red band trailer.
The movie is off-kilter, and I am not impressed with the movie clips. I get the analogy of cell phones controlling your life and interfering with personal relationships.
Co-written and directed by Sean Anders, Instant Family is based on real events in Anders’ life when he and his wife decided to adopt three kids over the age of five. Releasing the featurette before the movie trailer is unique but effective. Watch the featurette and you will understand the reason for the featurette first. Anders and his wife are telling the story and the featurette focuses on their story.
Mark Wahlberg stars as Pete in the movie about a childless, married couple who decide to adopt three children. Isabela Moner, Octavia Spencer, and Rose Byrne also star in the movie. Moner and Wahlberg previously starred together in Transformers: The Last Knight.
This is the third collaboration for both Wahlberg and Anders. Their other movies are Daddy’s Home, and Daddy’s Home 2.
She is very beautiful and vibrant. “I’ll Stay” is so true about families. I hope this clip isn’t blocked because of the song’s copyright.
These movie clips are fun to watch. The first one is so funny, hilarious. Enjoy!
The movie clips so how much fun this movie is to watch. Enjoy!
John Morris co-wrote the screenplay. His other movies include Dumb and Dumberand Sex Drive. At times, Morris wears the hat of producer.
The movie trailer came out after the release of the featurette.
Directed by Jessie Perez, Juliet, Naked follows Annie, played by Rose Bryne, the long-suffering girlfriend of Duncan, played by Chris O’Dowd. Duncan is not willing to commit to a relationship, get married, settle down, and have children. Added to that, Duncan is obsessed with Tucker Crowe, played by Ethan Hawke, a faded, singer-songwriter.
Annie starts and unlikely transatlantic romance with Duncan after making an obvious cliche statement about his recent comeback song. The trio conflict begins and the story unfolds.
The movie is based on Nick Hornby’s novel. Hornby two other books, About a Boy, and High Fidelity were both made into movies as well. He seems to capture the romantic tug with a spice of realistic comedy.
The movie credits a handful of screenwriters to adapt the book including Perez’s sister Evgenia. Evgenia has worked with her brother on another occasion with the movie Our Idiot Brother.
The movie is streaming and is available on Blu-ray and DVD. Now is your chance to see it or see it again.
The movie clip shows the dark side of Crowe with a conflict between Crowe and Duncan about to start. We also find out about Crowe’s several relationships resulting in children. But, his son is such a cutie.
I like the flow of this next movie clip where we can see the chemistry formulating between the three characters.
The interesting movie clip is rough but spontaneous.
The trailer pretty much tells you the story without giving away the ending.
