“The Laundromat” Images and Clips

THE LAUNDROMAT

The Laundromat follows Ellen Martin, played by Meryl Streep, as her idyllic vacation necessitates an unbelievable twist when she investigates a fake insurance policy, only to find herself down a rabbit hole of questionable dealings linked to a Panama City law firm, and its vested interest in helping the world’s wealthiest citizens amass even larger fortunes.

THE LAUNDROMAT

The charming, and very well-dressed, founding partners Jürgen Mossack, played by Gary Oldman, and Ramón Fonseca, played by Antonio Banderas, are experts in the seductive ways of shell companies and offshore accounts help the rich and powerful prosper.

THE LAUNDROMAT

They are about to show us that Ellen’s expose only hints at the tax evasion, bribery, and other illicit absurdities that the super-wealthy indulge in to support the world’s corrupt financial system.

The movie clip shows the theme of the movie, and it is a comedy with a sense of hilarity in the two men talking to the camera while Streep talks about corruption.

The next movie clip explains Martin’s goal and purpose for exposing these to con artists.

Surging High Tech “Bloodshot” Poster, Trailer, Images

Watch Bloodshot with Sam Heughan from Outlander

Directed by David S. F. Wilson, Bloodshot follows the story based on the bestselling comic book. Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation.

With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he’s an unstoppable force –stronger than ever and able to heal instantly.  But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not – but he’s on a mission to find out.

Vin Diesel and Sam Heughan

Bloodshot is Wilson’s first feature film. He has an extensive career in visual effects from games to movies like Star Wars and The Avengers games.

Outlander‘s Sam Heughan

Eric Heisserer and Jeff Wadlow wrote the screenplay based on the comic book series by Yvel Guichet, Bob Layton, Don Perlin, and Kevin VanHook. Heisserer’s credits include Arrival and Bird Box. Waldow’s credits include writing and directing Truth or Dare and Kick-Ass 2.

The comic-book movie also stars Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell, and Guy Pearce.

Watching the trailer, we see Heughan, who plays Jimmy Dalton as the robot man with mechanical tentacles.

The second trailer is not all that different from the first trailer, but clips show subtle humor and lightness, which lets the public know it’s not all violence and death.

“Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway” Hilarious Trailers and Poster

Co-written and directed by Will Gluck, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway greets Peter, played by James Corden. He and his friends return for more ventures.

The rabbits created a makeshift family, but despite his best efforts, Peter can’t seem to shake his mischievous reputation.

Adventuring out of the garden, Peter finds himself in a world where his mischief is appreciated, but when his family risks everything to come looking for him, Peter must figure out what kind of bunny he wants to be.

Patrick Burleigh is also an actor and a director, co-wrote the screenplay with Gluck based on the stories by Beatrice Potter. Gluck is also a producer and is known for Easy A, Friends with Benefits, Annie, Peter Rabbit, and several TV shows, including The Michael J. Fox Show.

The rest of the cast includes Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson, David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Debicki, and Margot Robbie.

The second trailer is very different from the first trailer. The second trailer shows an adventurous story of Peter trying to save his friends while Mr. Gregor helps because he is a father to these crazy animals.

Astonishingly Entertaining “Dolittle” Trailers and Posters

Watch Robert Downey Jr master Dr, Dolittle
Rex Harrison and Eddie Murphy played the beloved Dr. Dolittle before this production with Robert Downey Jr.

Written and directed by Stephen Gaghan, based on the story by Thomas Shepherd, Dolittle excites one of literature’s most enduring characters and stories in an expressive remake of the classic tale of the man who talks to animals, Dr. John Dolittle, played by Robert Downey Jr.

The movie is available on Prime and wherever DVDs and Blu-rays are sold.

After losing his wife seven years earlier, Dolittle becomes eccentric but a famed doctor and veterinarian of Queen Victoria’s England. He hermits himself away behind the high walls of Dolittle Manor with only his menagerie of exotic animals for company.

But when the young queen, played by Jessie Buckley, falls gravely ill, a reluctant Dolittle set sails on a grand adventure to a mythical island in search of a cure, recovering his wit and courage as he crosses old adversaries and discovers fascinating creatures.

The doctor is accompanied on his journey by a young, self-appointed apprentice, played by Harry Collett. Joining the doctor are a loud circle of animal friends, including an anxious gorilla, voiced by Rami Malek, an enthusiastic but bird-brained duck, spoken by Octavia Spencer, a bickering duo of a cynical ostrich, voiced by Kumail Nanjiani, and an upbeat polar bear, voiced by John Cena, and a headstrong parrot, voiced by Emma Thompson, who serves as Dolittle’s most esteemed advisor and confidante.

The movie also stars Antonio Banderas, Michael Sheen, Jim Broadbent. It features additional voice performances from Marion Cotillard, Frances de la Tour, Carmen Ejogo, Ralph Fiennes, Selena Gomez, Tom Holland, and Craig Robinson.

The next trailer offers more information about the movie, and it seems more entertaining.

“Jungle Cruise” Poster and Trailer

I went on the Jungle Cruise ride at Disneyland when I was a youngster. It was my favorite ride at the time because it was so mellow. I am sure Jaume Collet-Serra is not creating such a laid-back movie.

Jungle Cruise stars Emily Blunt as Lily Houghton and Dwayne Johnson as Frank. Disney Studios describes the movie based on the theme park ride. A small riverboat takes a group of travelers through a jungle filled with dangerous animals and reptiles, but with a supernatural element.

Glenn Ficarra, Michael Green, and John Requa scripted the movie. The movie also stars Jesse Plemons and Paul Giamatti.

The last line in the trailer delivered by Blunt, “This is real,” says it all.

“The Turning” Poster and Trailer

Directed by Floria Sigismondi, The Turning tells the story involving more than 100 years of a profoundly haunting tale passed down to terrify audiences.

The movie begins at a perplexing estate in the Maine countryside, where newly appointed nanny Kate, played by MacKenzie Davis, is charged with the care of two disturbed orphans, Flora and Miles, played by Brooklynn Prince and Finn Wolfhard. Soon enough, she learns that both the children and the house are withholding dark secrets, and things may not be as they seem.

Inspired by Henry James’ landmark novel, the haunted-house thriller is a spellbinding tale written for the screen by Chad and Carey Hayes. Davis’ acting talents include Tully and Terminator: Dark Fate. Wolfhard’s talents began with Stranger Things. Brooklynn Prince is a newcomer while Joely Richardson starred in Red Sparrow and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

The soundtrack is a bit off, but the movie looks scary enough for horror fans.

“Frankie” Posters, Trailer & Clips

Directed by Ira Sachs, Frankie follows a family on a vacation where all activities are focused on Frankie, played by Isabelle Huppert.

Three generations try an come to terms with a life-changing experience during one day of a vacation in Sintra, Portugal, a historic town known for its dense gardens and fairy-tale villas and palaces.

The movie also stars Brendan Gleeson, Marisa Tome, Sennia Nanua,  Greg Kinnear, and Ariyon Bakare.

The next clip is so sweet and innocent, but there are undercurrents. Kinnear is so cute. I love his smile.

“The Gentlemen” Posters and Trailers Wild, Crazy Story

Written and directed by Guy Ritchie, The Gentlemen is a star-studded sophisticated action-comedy. The movie follows American Mickey Pearson, who is an expat, played by Matthew McConaughey, who built a highly profitable marijuana empire in London.

The movie is streaming Amazon and is available in Blu-ray and DVD formats.

When word gets out that he’s looking to cash out of the business forever, it triggers plots, schemes, bribery, and blackmail in an attempt to steal his domain out from under him.
The all-star ensemble cast includes Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Grant.

The movie trailer shows random acts of killing and silliness. I hope the audience will be able to follow the story.

The second trailer shows how crazy and ridiculous the movie plays out. If you watch the trailer, you will not know anything about the story. The dragon analogy doesn’t make sense.

The featurette shows a cast and crew having a bloody good time.

“The Rhythm Section” Lavishly Suspenseful Trailer and Poster

Blake Lively, with short hair, is a novelty.

Directed by Reed MoranoThe Rhythm Section follows Stephanie Patrick, played by Blake Lively. She is an ordinary woman on a path of self-destruction after the tragedy of her family’s death in a plane crash.

When Stephanie discovers that the crash was not an accident, she enters a dark, complex world to seek revenge on those responsible and find her redemption. Based on the novel by Mark Burnell, who created a series of books based on the character Stephanie Patrick. Burnell also wrote the screenplay for the movie.

Morano is an Emmy-winning director for The Handmaid’s Tale and a talented cinematographer. The Rhythm Section also stars Jude Law and Sterling K. Brown.

The movie trailer looks legit, and it’s exciting to see Lively get a movie of this caliber. Lively also starred in A Simple Favor with Anne Kendrick. I highly recommend A Simple Favor. Lively’s part is smaller, but it’s a good movie.

The movie clip is an intense car chase that keeps you on the edge of your proverbial seat.

The next trailer, designed for social media platforms, I don’t see much of a difference.

The next two featurettes lack enough information to tell you about the story, which is crucial to making this movie entertaining, and not just another female action movie.

The two movie clips show how Lively’s character is withdrawn but emerging and calculating.

“Dark Waters” Poster, Clips and Trailer

Directed by Todd Haynes, Dark Waters, motivated by a harrowing true story of a determined attorney, played by Mark Ruffalo, uncovers a dark secret that connects a growing number of unexplained deaths due to one of the world’s largest corporations – Dupont.

In unearthing the corruption, he risks everything—his future, family, and life—to expose the truth. Haynes’s directing credits include Wonderstruck, the Mildred Pierce Mini-series, and Far From Heaven

Based on an article by Nathaniel Rich, Matthew Michael Carnahan wrote the first screenplay, which was finalized by Mario Correa.

The rest of the cast is impressive, including Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins, Bill Camp, Victor Garber, Mare Winningham, William Jackson Harper, and Bill Pullman.

One of the two following clips is decent. The other one doesn’t say much of the story, but we see some excellent acting by Tim Robbins.

This clip crescendos into a massive scene at a public function. Victor Garber holds his own with Mark Ruffalo.
