“No Safe Spaces” Poster and Trailer

Directed by Justin Folk, No Safe Spaces appears to be a documentary that reveals how identity politics and the suppression of free speech are spreading into every part of society and threatening to divide America.

No Safe Spaces, starring Adam Carolla and Dennis Prager, is a film with a mission: to expose the growing threat to free speech on American university campuses and throughout the culture at large. Carolla and Prager take the audience on a compelling and entertaining journey across the county to discover why Americans should unite to protect the First Amendment.

In its first month of limited release, No Safe Spaces has shattered expectations in select theaters. It opened at a single screening in Scottsdale, Arizona, with the second-largest box office opening at a single screen after Michael Moore’s Sicko. Since then, it has maintained strong momentum throughout its limited release in spite of several significant movies released at the same time.

“Black Widow” Featurettes, Poster, TV Spots, Trailers

Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow is about Natasha Romanoff, played by Scarlett Johansson, in her quests between the films Civil War and Infinity Wars.

Ned Benson and Jac Schaeffer co-wrote the screenplay based on Stan Lee, Don Heck, and Don Rico comic books.

Rachel Weisz and David Harbour play critical roles in the movie – Weisz as Melina Vostokoff and Harbour as Alexei Shostakov and Red Guardian.

Weisz’s most recent role was in The Favouriteand she is married to James Bond, Daniel Craig. David Harbour played the Sheriff in Stranger Things and played Hellboy in the remake.

Black Widow is Shortland’s first major movie, though it looks like she directed a couple of arthouse movies.

Not a lot of information about the movie, so we watch the trailer to figure out what is happening in the story. It looks like the Black Widow goes home and spends time with her family.

The TV spot is 90 seconds long, almost the length of a trailer, and it contains what is in the above trailer and a little bit more.

I am impressed with these presentations, and I am hoping for a great movie.

“The Last Full Measure” Poster, Clips, Trailer

Twenty years later, Pitsenbarger’s comrade in arms, played by William Hurt, and father, played by Christopher Plummer, seek the help of investigator Scott Huffman, played by Sebastian Stan. Along with other surviving veterans of the battle, they finally procure him The Congressional Medal of Honor he deserved.

Genuine and Daring “Emma” Poster, Clips, Trailer

Directed by Autumn de Wilde, we have another angle of Jane Austen’s flair for writing intriguing stories that are not only funny but revealing.

Austen’s popular comedy is about finding your equal and earning a happy ending. Her story reimagined is a delightful innovative film adaptation of her book Emma. We follow handsome, intelligent, and rich, Emma Woodhouse, played by Anya Taylor-Joy, who is a restless queen bee without competitors in her sleepy little town.

In this glittering satire of social class and the pain of growing up, Emma must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along.

Wilde’s directing credits are light, but the movie looks good as the trailer shows how funny and silly the film will be. The rest of the cast includes Johnny Flynn, Bill Nighy, Mia Goth, Miranda Hart, Josh O’Connor, Callum Turner, Rupert Graves, Gemma Whelan, Amber Anderson, Tanya Reynolds, and Connor Swindells.

The next two clips show how funny the movie is with the silliness of situations and characters.

The next two clips show us the drama and love in the movie.

Innovative and Fascinating “Antebellum” Poster and Trailer

The butterfly on the poster seems odd.

Written and directed by Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz, Antebellum follows Veronica Henley, played by Janelle Moná. She is a successful author and finds herself trapped in a horrifying existence. The short trailer shows her going from the civil war era to modern time. And it’s creepy.   There is a place that is the Antebellum era from history as a thriller, and the fourth trailer seems to indicate it is in the movie, too.

Her necessity to uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late is the force of the movie. The 911 call is coming from her or someone else? The image of the butterfly on the poster is intriguing.

Lionsgate calls the movie a terrifying new thriller, and Bush and Renz are reasonably new filmmakers. The rest of the cast includes Marque Richardson II, Eric Lange, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Tongayi Chirisa, Gabourey Sidibe, Rob Aramayo, Lily Cowles, and Jena Malone.

“The Call of the Wild” Poster, Clip, Trailer, Featurette

Harrison Ford is John Thornton.

Jack London’s literary classic takes a new turn in the adaptation of The Call of the Wild with live-action and animation animals.

As the newest rookie on a mail delivery sled team–and later its leader–Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime, ultimately finding his real place in the world and becoming his own master.

Sanders helms the movie as a live-action and animation hybrid, employing cutting edge visual effects and animation technology to render the animals in the film as fully photorealistic, emotionally, and authentic characters.

Sanders credits include Lilo & Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon. He holds quite a repertory of writing credits, including The Lion KingMulan, and Beauty and the Beast. However, Michael Green wrote the script based on London’s novel and Egerton Ryerson Young’s source material.

The cast also includes Dan Stevens, Omar Sy, Karen Gillan, Bradley Whitford, and Colin Woodell.

Ford is a natural in this movie clip, an amazing actor.

Caine is an old school screenwriter who wrote one of the James Bond movies Goldeneye, and he received an Oscar nomination for his adaption of The Constant Gardner.

Also starring in the movie is Jonah Hauer-King and Catherine McCormack.

I am curious about the story and might read the book before seeing the movie.

After SpongeBob’s beloved pet snail Gary is snail-napped, he and Patrick embark on an epic adventure to The Lost City of Atlantic City to bring Gary home.

Hill plays a big part in the evolution of SpongeBob. He’s directed the TV series and SpongeBob’s first movie.

The trailer offers the story and continues with crazy, nonsensical scenes that make us gut laugh at the silliness. The first part is Keanu Reeves as the sage bush, and the Atlantic City is where SpongeBob and Patrick go.

Proven Government Secrets Exploit “Seberg” Poster and Trailer

Kristen Stewart evolved into a talented actress since her Twilight movies. The camera shows her upbeat, charismatic, and determined. Jean Seberg is Stewart’s next role, and she’s embraced the character as the title role for the movie Seberg.

Directed by Benedict Andrews and inspired by true events, the movie follows Seberg as the French New Wave darling and Breathless star.

In the late 1960s, the FBI targeted her because of her support of the civil rights movement and romantic involvement with Hakim Jamal, played by Anthony Mackie, among others.

Andrews tells the thriller through a film noir style. His directing credits include remakes of two Tennessee William’s plays: A Street Car Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Written by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse, Hoover’s overreaching surveillance and harassment to suppress and discredit Seberg’s activism destroyed her life and career.

The well-rounded cast includes Jack O’Connell, Margaret Qualley, Zazie Beetz, Yvan Attal, Stephen Root, Colm Meaney, and Vince Vaughn.

The next three movie clips offer the main plot point of the movie, which was the government spying on her because of her strong stance in cultural issues in America.
