“Toy Story 4” Trailers, Clips, Interviews & Poster

Pixar never tells us the movie’s story in their trailers. They keep us wondering about the movie’s story, which I find refreshing. The trailer for the Pixar movie Coco never told us how the young boy had to figure out how to get back to living. The movie’s trailers showed us a magical world of candy skulls and music.

Blu-ray, DVD, and streaming are available. You don’t want to miss the chance to own this movie. All Toy Story movies are classics, and this one is extra special because Bonnie is now the new owner of Woody and his gang.

Story by John Lasseter and directed by Josh Cooley, Toy Story 4 looks like a road trip movie. IMDB posts the summary: “When a new toy called “Forky” joins Woody and the gang, a road trip alongside old and new friends reveals how big the world can be for a toy.” The site hosts four videos and some fantastic images. Forky is an arts and crafts toy with pipe cleaners as arms and hands and a plastic spoon for a body, which is clever. I get it; it’s so funny.

Watching the teaser trailer, you get the idea that Forky is a little high-strung.

The second trailer is a cute little skit of two stuffed animal toys talking about the fourth installment of Toy Story. Jordan Peele is one of the voices. If you don’t recognize him, it is because he is the director of the Horror movies Get Out and Us. Thinking about it, it is hard to believe this franchise changed the film industry. We take these movies for granted, and the entertaining story of Woody and his friends.

The third trailer tells us about the fourth movie. It starts as a road trip and ends in a toy playground. The craft fork is funny and cute. I noticed Keanu Reeves is added to the credits as “voice,” but nothing more.

I laughed so hard a couple of times while watching the movie trailer. Until I saw this trailer, my hopes for this movie were low. Pixar has done it again.

Tim Allen’s interview is funny, provocative, and informative. It is one of the best interviews out of the bunch.

Tom Hanks’s interview is interesting because he talks about the plight of being a toy and Woody’s relationship with Bo Peep.

The four movie clips introduce us to new toys. Each unique toy has a goal and a flaw, but we don’t see many of their dreams or flaws except Forky. He thinks he is trash and not much of a toy, but he is so cute. Keneau Reeves voices Duke Caboom. Gabby Gabby is the villainess in the story, with the ventriloquist dummies as her henchman. Each clip offers a chance to see the interview with the voice actor of that character — just clip on the video when it comes up toward the end of the clip.

“UglyDolls” Trailers, Clips, Featurettes & Posters

Directed by Kelly Ashbury,  UglyDolls is a movie based on toys you can purchase for your kids or yourself, for that matter. We are all unique; even if you are imperfect, you are still a doll.

The playful UglyDolls confront what it means to be different. We are all different – no two people are alike. It is an excellent message for all kids, young or old. We need to appreciate each other for who we are, not what we are not.

I suspect it is easier said than done in the movie, which the UglyDolls learn by overcoming some conflict of sorts.

Ashbury credits are impressive, from Shrek 2 to Gnomeo. & Juliet  The cast includes Emma Roberts, Janelle Monáe, and Nick Jonas.

Enjoy the movie trailers!

The second trailer explains how they became ugly dolls and were set aside or ostracized from society. I can’t help but recall in history the Eugenics – the theory that humans could be selectively bred to weed out undesirable traits and strengthen desirable traits Eugenics was formulated by psychologist Francis Galton a British half-cousin to Charles Darwin Galton was a racist who hated Jews, Irish, and Blacks.

The third trailer offers more of the story and promotes the original songs from pop artists. The blond boy doll is the bad guy but not much of one. The movie is just a bunch of fun with great music.

The following three clips show how this movie is ridiculous. The studio blocked A clip with Jonas’s brother singing as a doll, but it was one of the best. The other clips show a robot dog, and we learn from another clip that even perfect dolls have issues.

The five featurettes explain the development of UglyDolls and how each character contributes to the movie. The inventor of the UglyDolls tells the story of how he came up with the idea in college.

Innovative “Missing Link” Trailers, Interviews, Clips, Featurettes and Poster

Written and directed by Chris Butler, Missing Link follows Mr. Link, voiced by Zach Galifianakis, eight feet tall, 630 lbs, and covered in fur. The appearance means nothing with his character because he is funny, sweet, and cuddly literal.

They consider him the world’s most lovable legend, the link to the globe-trotting family adventure. He’s bored with living a solitary life in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Link recruits fearless explorer Sir Lionel Frost, voiced by Hugh Jackman, to guide him on a journey to find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La.

Along with adventurer Adelina Fortnight, played by Zoe Saldana, the fearless trio of explorers encounter more than their fair share of peril as they travel to the far reaches of the world to help their new friend. Through it all, the three learn that sometimes you can find a family in the places you least expect.

Butler worked on several animated features wearing different hats. He worked his way up to being a talented director of animation movies.

The movie’s other voice actors include Zoe Saldana, Timothy Olyphant, David Walliams, Emma Thompson, Matt Lucas, Ching Valdes-Aran, Stephen Fry, and Amrita Acharia.

The second trailer tells us so much about the story, with lots of jokes and funny situations. Missing Link is a kid’s movie, but parents or adults will find it just as entertaining.

The Blu-ray, DVD, and streaming are available. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, you need to see it now. It is a fantastic piece of stop-motion animation, artfully and beautifully made.

I picked three interviews to share with my Movie Roar readers. They are from several that I have available on my YouTube Channel. The first is my favorite with Zoe Saldana. She’s my favorite interview because she explains the story so well.

The second interview is with Hugh Jackman because he is so enthusiastic about the movie and the LAIKA that I wanted to share it with you.

The next interview is with Zach Galifianakis because he looks great in this clip. He explains Mr. Link as a special person.

The two movie clips show the relationship between Mr. Link and Sir Lionel Frost. The kids will see all slapstick humor, and the parents will understand the play on words. The stop-motion animation is mind-boggling. It is an art form that requires a tremendous about of detail and time.

The red carpet interview with Travis Knight, who is the CEO of LAIKA, talks about his studio’s location and the movies they create in stop-motion. Knight also directed BumbleBee, and it not a stop-motion movie though there is more CGI.

“The Secret Life of Pets 2” Trailers, Soundbites & Poster

Directed by Chris Renaud, The Secret Life of Pets 2  is the sequel to the movie about our pets’ lives after we leave for work or school each day. Not much is being shared right now about the sequel.

Blu-ray, DVD, and streaming are available for kids, young and old, to watch the movie as often as they like.

The sequel brings screenwriter Brian Lynch together with Renaud, and the cast is stellar, including Lake Bell, Hannibal Buress, Dana Carvey, Harrison Ford, Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart, Pete Holmes, Garth Jennings, Ellie Kemper, Nick Kroll, Bobby Moynihan, Patton Oswald, Jenny Slate, and Eric Stonestreet.

Introducing Chloe Furball featurette is one of many that introduces the different pets in the sequel.

Here is the trailer. I wouldn’t say I like the psycho mumbo-jumbo because there is a better way to show how humans don’t understand their pets. I highly recommend you visit CCHR and find out that disorders are bunk.

It appears The Secret Life of Pets 2 releases trailers that promote certain characters or pets in the movie. The following trailer is called “Daisy and Snowball” and shows Daisy’s personality, voiced by Tiffany Haddish. Kevin Hart is the voice for Snowball. Both Haddish and Hart starred in the comedy Night School.

The movie trailer for “Cat Lessons” is hilarious. I belly laughed and thought of all the people I knew who loved cats. They’d watch this trailer repeatedly.

The Rooter Trailer is about Rooster, the dog, voiced by Harrison Ford, who runs the farm. Two dogs from the city visit the farm, and Rooster has quite an influence on them.

The Busy Bee Trailer is cute, but the dog would turn the table over and get the toy. He’d be more aggressive and stupid.

The final poster shows an entirely different movie, and the trailer backs up that image. In the trailer, we see the lead dog going from a passive pet to an aggressive dog with hilarious scenes like the granny driving the car packed with pets.

Harrison Ford soundbites describe his character Rooster. Ford’s dry wit is funny, and he is pretty sharp.

“Spies in Disguise” Trailers and Posters

Inspired by the animated short film Pigeon: Impossible by Lucas Martell and directed by Troy Quane and Nick Bruno, super spy Lance Sterling, played by Will Smith, and scientist Walter Beckett, played by Tom Holland, are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is… not.

But what Walter lacks in social skills he makes up for in smarts and invention, creating the awesome gadgets Lance uses on his epic missions.

But when events take an unexpected turn, Walter and Lance suddenly have to rely on each other in a whole new way because Walter turned Lance into a pigeon.

And if this odd couple can’t learn to work as a team, the whole world is in peril. Kids and parents are going to appreciate the animated comedy with a unique situation. After all, pigeons deserve some respect.

Will Smith as a pigeon is cool.

The second trailer took some time to get released. It explains more of the story and looks like a lot of fun for the kids.

The third trailer is funny and tells us what happens in the movie. It is designed to entertain and be silly.

The fourth trailer looks pretty good, though it’s hard to tell if he is a pigeon the whole time or turns back and forth from pigeon to man’s body.

“The Kid Who Would Be King” Trailers and Poster

Written and directed by Joe Cornish, The Kid Who Would Be King inspires traditional stories about magic. Though the story is relatively modern, it mixes ancient magic with an epic adventure. Alex, played by Louis Ashbourne Serkis, is an unlikely hero and believes he is just another nobody.

Until he stumbles upon the mythical Sword in the Stone, Excalibur, the story takes off because, now, he must unite his friends and enemies into a band of knights. Together, they join the legendary wizard Merlin, played by Patrick Stewart, and take on the wicked enchantress Morgana, played by Rebecca Ferguson.

The future is in peril, and Alex needs to become a great leader. He never dreamed it possible, but he might pull it off.

Cornish wrote the screenplay for Spielberg’s TinTin and penned Ant-Man and some episodic TV shows. He’s even directed some episodes of The Adam and Joe Show.

The rest of the cast includes Dean Chaumoo, Tom Taylor, Rhianna Dorris, and Angus Imrie.

It’s such a fun movie for the whole family to watch, and kids will watch it repeatedly. The proof is in the movie trailer.

The second trailer shows more of the story, and I am interested in seeing the movie now. Kids will love the story, and parents can feel safe letting them watch it on their own. I like the themes of taking care of your friends, responsibility and confronting problems. Patrick Steward is in this trailer and you might not be surprised to find out who he portrays.

The two movie clips, which I was only able to see, show scenes from the trailer, which explain what the kids are doing in the scenes. The movie seems a bit corny, but it looks like something the whole family can enjoy.

“A Dog’s Way Home” Trailer, Vignette, Movie Clips, and Poster

Directed by Charles Martin Smith and based on the book by W. Bruce Cameron, A Dog’s Way Home narrates the heartfelt and sensitive adventure of Bella. Bella is a dog who embarks on a tremendous 400-mile journey home after she is separated from her greatly loved human, played by Jonah Hauer-King.

If you don’t recognize Charles Martin Smith, you will recognize him in George Lucas’ American Graffiti as Terry “The Toad” fields. Smith considers himself an actor, rightly so, writer and director, both right so as well. He’s worked with Ashley Judd, who also stars in the movie, before when he directed another heartfelt movie called The Dolphin Tale.  Smith also starred in the movies The Untouchables and Never Cry Wolf.

Cameron co-wrote the screenplay with Cathryn Michon, who is also an actress, and wrote the screenplay for A Dog’s Purpose and Cook Off!, which she also co-directed and starred as Sharon Solfest.

The rest of the cast is impressive including Bryce Dallas Howard, Alexandra Shipp, Wes Studi, and Edward James Olmos.

The vignette tells us about the movie.

The movie trailer is adorable. Bring tissues to the movie theater. It looks like a tearjerker.

Ashley Judd is in this movie clip, and she is so much fun to watch. Bella is adorable and so much fun to watch as well. I hope kids will be able to follow the story. It looks like the movie is for kids 7 or older.

The two movie clips are so cool to watch because you can see how much Bella is loved, and how much Bella loves her people. It’s hard to imagine Bella spends about two-thirds of the movie away from her home and loved ones trying to get back home.

“Mary Poppins Returns” Trailers, Featurettes, Movie Clips & Posters

Screenplay by David Magee with the story co-written by David Magee, John DeLuca, and Rob Marshall, Mary Poppins Returns with direction by Rob Marshall. The sequel takes place during Depression-era London. Suppose you are familiar with the original Disney Mary Poppins with Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. In that case, you will relate to the now-grown Jane, played by Emily Mortimer, and Michael Banks, played by Ben Whishaw. Together with Michael’s three children, they are, once again, following a personal loss visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins, played by Emily Blunt.

Through her unique magical skills and with the aid of her friend Jack, played by Lin-Manuel Miranda, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.

The movie clip shows the brother and sister, now older, up in the attic, finding memories.

The latest featurette explains how the movie is not a remake but a sequel.

The studio now blocks one clip of the movie I posted. What I liked about the video was it showed the energy each actor contributes to the scene and, thus, the film.

My family and I saw the movie over the holidays and loved it. The film is upbeat and fun. The curtain call at the end will raise your spirits. Emily Blunt became Mary Poppins, which differs from Julie Andrews’ version but is more faithful to the books.

Here are more movie clips. The “Sing For Us” is now blocked, so I removed it, but Emily Blunt is still stunning in all the other clips.

The featurette is true to the Mary Poppins stories. Enjoy!

Other cast members include Meryl Streep, Dick Van Dyke, Julie Walters, Colin Firth, and Angela Lansbury.

After my family saw the movie, we all agreed that the little dance scene was the best in the film. Next is the curtain call with balloons at the end, a great ending. I highly recommend the movie.

Emily Blunt marvels at how she takes “The Place Where the Lost Things Go” and sings it gently and beautifully to the Banks children. I hope Blunt sings an Oscar-nominated song at the Academy Awards presentation. I’d be ecstatic! The movie nabbed another Oscar nod for Original Score – Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. Listen in on their discussion with Richard Sherman about developing the music for the film.

Mary Poppins Returns Blu-ray and DVD are on the streets, with streaming happening online. Now, you can see the movie again with the bonus features.

“Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween” Trailer and Posters

Directed by Ari Sandel, kids are going to have a tree on Halloween. Goosebumps comes alive once again in a brand-new comedy adventure based on R.L. Stine’s 400-million-selling series of books.

The screenplay is by Rob Lieber who also wrote Alexander the Terrible and Peter Rabbit.

The cast includes Wendi McLendon-Covey, Madison Iseman, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Caleel Harris, Chris Parnell, and Ken Jeong.

The second poster colors are much better. The lettering is on the bottom of the poster. Otherwise, both posters are almost similar.

“Wonder Park” Trailers & Super Bowl Ad

Directed by Dylan Brown, Wonder Park tells the story of June, voiced by Brianna Denski, who discovers a magical amusement park. The animated tale follows June running in the woods. She is coming home when she stumbles across an old roller coaster car.

She sits in one of the roller coaster cars, and magically she finds herself in Wonderland, an amusement park she had created in her mind and put aside.

Her rides and characters are brought to life but are falling into disarray without her. Now, with the help of her fun and lovable park characters, June will have to put the wonder back in Wonderland before it is lost forever.

Brown worked on several Pixar movies as supervising animator. Wonder Park appears to be his first major movie. Three writers write the screenplay. It looks like Josh Appelbaum, and André Nemec gets the most credit.

Other voices in the movie are Jennifer Garner, Matthew Broderick, John Oliver, Mila Kunis, Kenan Thompson, Ken Jeong,  and Norbert Leo Butz.

The second trailer tells us more about the story. The CGI is dazzling.

The movie trailer shows the wonder of the amusement park.

The third trailer tells us more about the story behind the animated movie. The CGI is excellent with the bright colors and synthesized energy.

The commercial for the Super Bowl tells us the release date. We can see that it is a kid’s movie and a lot of fun with crazy animals.
