Faith-based “I Can Only Imagine” Trailer and Clips

Co-directed by Andrew Erwin and Jon Erwin, I Can Only Imagine follows a true story based on a song by possibly the most popular faith-based song ever played on Christian radio – I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe.

The story follows Bart Millard, who the lead singer of the Christian band MercyMe. His relationship with his troubled father played to the core by Dennis Quaid. I saw a dynamic clip of Quaid playing an emotionally torqued father. I encourage you to see the movie, just to Quaid, amazing.

The message in the movie, which is totally Christian, nobody is ever too far from God’s love — for too far from an eternal home in Heaven.

Blu-ray, DVD, and streaming are happening. If you are faith-based movie watcher or not, it’s worth seeing. The Blu-ray/DVD trailer is way better than the movie theater trailer.

The movie also stars Cloris Leachman, Trace Adkins, Michael Finley, Priscilla Shire, and Madeline Carroll.

“Blockers” Green & Red Band Trailers, Poster

Directed by Kay Cannon, Blockers follow three parents who discover their daughters’ pact to lose their virginity at prom. The parents launch a covert one-night operation to stop the teens from sealing the deal. Leslie Mann (The Other Woman, This Is 40), Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Suicide Squad) and John Cena (Trainwreck, Sisters) star in Blockers, the directorial debut of Kay Cannon. She is the writer of the Pitch Perfect series.

The poster is wacky and makes me wonder which are the kids. Parents seem more like kids, while the kids seem more like adults.

The movie is streaming and the Blu-ray and DVD are available. You might want to watch it if you haven’t seen it yet. Like I said, the movie is pretty wacky. You will need to be in the mode for such vulgar wackiness.

Here are a couple of movie clips. One is from the trailer and the other is unique and stands on its own but looks like it just got blocked. Hopefully, it will be unblocked soon. It is a good movie clip that moves the story along well.

“The Leisure Seeker” Trailer and Clips

Directed and co-written by Italian Paolo Virzì, The Leisure Seeker follows a vintage recreational vehicle as John, played by Donald Sutherland and Ella Spencer, played by Helen Mirren, take one last road trip from Boston to the Hemingway House in the Florida Keys.

The road trip movie is about John and Ella arriving at the Keys before his Alzheimer’s and her cancer can catch up with them. They base the movie on a novel, so the story is rich and thought-provoking.

“The Strangers: Prey at Night” Posters and Trailer

Directed by Johannes Roberts and co-written by Bryan Bertino and Ben Ketai, The Strangers: Prey at Night follows a family on a road trip as it turns into a dangerous horrific trip when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park. The plan is to stay with relatives but find the place deserted, which is as puzzling as most horror movie stories play to the end.

Under the creepy night of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s limit, as it drove them to the verge of insanity as they struggle to survive.

They inspired the horror movie after the 2008 horror winner, The Strangers, about a young couple being tested by three masked assailants. Bertino directed and co-wrote the movie, and co-wrote Prey at Night.

The trailer is horrific so enjoy the terror.

“Truth or Dare” Poster, Trailer, Clips

Directed by Jeff Wadlow, Blumhouse’s Truth or Dare is a horror movie. The movie follows Lucy Hale of Pretty Little Liars and Tyler Posey of Teen Wolf.

It appears to be a harmless game of “Truth or Dare” among friends and turns deadly when someone—or something—begins to punish those who tell a lie—or refuse the dare.

The movie clip gives an important point in the story about how the game is played. There is a worldwide block on this clip so you might not be able to see it.  If you can, it is worth watching.

The movie clip shows the seriousness of the supernatural cure on the game truth or dare.

The movie clip shows how the entity twists with Olivia’s, played by Hale, reality and she blurts out truths or perhaps dares. It is not a harmless game.

Here is a movie clip that explains more of the tale about the game following them home.

Tremendous Horror “Slender Man” Poster and Trailers

Directed by Sylvain White, the horror movie Slender Man follows four high school girls in a small town in Massachusetts. The girls perform a ritual in an attempt to reveal the lore of Slender Man.

One of the girls mysteriously disappears, and the other three suspect she is truly Slender Man’s latest victim.

The cast includes Joey King, Julia Goldani-Telles, Jaz Sinclair, Annalise Basso, and Javier Botet.

Based on a character created by Eric Knudsen, a.k.a. Victor Surge, Slender Man is a mythical character created by Surge via the Internet forum called Something Awful.

However, the movie is written for the screen by David Birke, who also scripted Elle and 13 Sins.

They edited the second trailer better than the first. The trailer tells the urban legend in much better circumstances. This trailer’s edits and camera work show how riveting the horror movie will be.

Watch the trailer, and you will see why horror fans will scream to see this movie.

X-Men: “Dark Phoenix” Trailers, Poster, Featurettes, and Images

Sophie Turner stars as Jean Grey.

Twentieth Century Fox’s next X-Men movie, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, is directed by Simon Kinberg, who has written quite a few of the franchise movies, including this one.

The movie stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven/Mystique, and Jessica Chastain as Smith.

Blu-ray, DVD, and digital streaming are available. The bonus features include a hilarious but important one-on-one “How to Fly Your Jet to Space” lesson in the Special Features section.  You get hours of extensive special features and behind-the-scenes insights from Simon Kinberg and Hutch Parker, delving into everything it took to bring the movie to the screen.

New faces and a new director make for a promising movie.  Kinberg is favorably familiar with the story that follows Jean Grey, played by Turner, who begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix. The second trailer starts off with Grey being with her mother and father. It’s a happy moment that turns to destruction and death.

The story is an extended version of the fictional Marvel Comics series penned by Chris Claremont and illustrated by Dave Cockrum and John Bryne.

The X-Men will have to decide if the life of a team member is worth more than all the people living in the world. That shouldn’t be too hard to figure out. Don’t you think?

Still, they share their existence as unique beings who are outcasts because they don’t fit in with the status quo.  It will be interesting to see how the X-Men handle their rogue mutant – Dark Phoenix.

The most recent poster shows all the characters in the movie. The imagery indicates the influence Dark Phoenix has on all of them. She is a true anti-hero.

The next trailer tells us a huge spoiler. It’s not blunt but obvious. Jean is an out-of-control killing machine. The green screen and CGI effects are unbelievable. They mesmerized me throughout the trailer – some true sound editing and mixing worth experiencing in the movie theater. The box office draw is diehard fans.

It looks like she’s turned into a bad girl. The trailer explains how it happens and when it happens. The X-men want to kill her, so they can protect themselves and society. The special effects (CGI) looks pretty good, showing us all that is happening. It appears the Dark Phoenix is in a chaotic world all her own.

The next two featurettes are keepers. Each stands out as a unique reason for telling the story of the Dark Phoenix. One featurette gives us hope and introduces us to the writer and editor of the comic book series – Chris Claremont and Louise Simonson.

The next featurette shows us the history of the X-Men, though some are women. We learn that the Dark Phoenix is a huge battle for them, and the outcome is what we all want to know.

“Den of Thieves” Trailer, Movie Clips from Blu-ray/DVD

Directed by Christian Gudegast, Den of Thieves stars Gerard Butler as corrupted cop Nick  Flanagan. The movie follows Flanagan as he and an elite group of crooks try to steal 120 million dollars from the Los Angeles Federal Reserve.

The movie looks like a typical shoot-them-up with the bad guys against the good guys for the common good of making things go right. The film also stars Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Pablo Schreiber, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Evan Jones, Dawn Olivieri, Mo McRae, and UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway.

There are some awesome movie clips after you scroll down below the movie trailer.

This is how a shootout scene is filmed.

The interviews with Gerard Butler and Christian Gudegast tell us about the story.

“Overboard” Delivers Enormous and Monumental Laughs

Co-written and directed by Rob Greenberg, Overboard follows Leonardo, played by Eugenio Derbez. He is a selfish, spoiled, rich playboy from Mexico’s most affluent family and Kate, played by Anna Faris, a working-class single mother of three hired to clean Leonardo’s luxury yacht.

Leonardo unjustly fires Kate and refuses to pay her. He falls overboard when partying too hard and wakes up on the Oregon coast with amnesia. Kate shows up at the hospital and, to get payback, convinces Leonardo he is her husband and puts him to work – for the first time in his life.

At first miserable and inept, Leonardo slowly settles in. Eventually, he earns the respect of his new family and co-workers. With Leonardo’s billionaire family hot on their trail and the possibility of his memory returning at any moment, it makes for a fun and entertaining movie.

The Blu-ray and DVD are available with streaming video happening as well. Each disc package contains special featurettes, including an audio commentary with the writer and director Rob Greenberg.

Watch the trailer promoting the Blu-ray and DVD. You might find yourself wanting to see the movie. If you have already seen the movie, you might find yourself wanting to see the film again.

Interestingly, Overboard is a cross-culture movie. With the Anglo-Saxon playing the excellent and thoughtful lower-income character and the Hispanic playing the wealthy and arrogant nature.

Watch the trailer and get a sense of the old Hollywood movies where the audience is in on the gag. This movie clip shows why Kate is putting him through the wringer.

This movie clip makes the joke seem believable. It’s beginning to look like a decent movie.

The second trailer tells us more about the film. It’s kind of cute and funny.

“Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” Trailers, TV Spot, Posters, Featurettes, and Clips

Written and directed by Ol Parker, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again brings us Meryl Streep as Donna, Julie Walters as Rosie and Christine Baranski as Tanya, Amanda Seyfried, and Dominic Cooper reunite as Sophie and Sky, while Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgård, and  Colin Firth return to play Sophie’s three possible dads: Sam, Bill, and Harry.

The film goes back and forth in time to show how relationships forged in the past resonate in the present, the newest cast member from Downton Abby, Lily James will play the role of Young Donna. Filling the roles of Young Rosie and Young Tanya are Alexa Davies and Jessica Keenan Wynn. Young Sam will be played by Jeremy Irvine, while Young Bill is played by Josh Dylan and Young Harry is played by Hugh Skinner.

This movie poster shows, pretty much, the whole cast. They look like they are having a great time. That can only mean the movie is going to be a blast with new Abba songs.

These costumes are so wild and fun. Every Halloween women or men will be wearing Mamma Mia! costumes.

The Blu-ray, DVD, and is streaming live.  The behind-the-scenes featurette shows the younger and older versions dancing together.

The movie clip below is about Lily James playing the younger Donna in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.  Both James and Meryl Streep praise each other. We learn that James can belt a song out.

Cher sings Fernando while dancing with Andy Garcia. I am so excited this will make the movie rumble.

The second trailer offers more information about the story. I wonder how much is in the present and how much is in the past.  Flashbacks are fun.

The below clip is about the production wrapping up and letting us know when the sequel will be in the movie theaters.

Grammy TV Spot is over a minute.

This trailer has a special appearance by Cher. Guess who she plays in the story?
