Based on a book by Jay R. Bonansinga and directed by JJ Perry, The Killer’s Game is an action-comedy.
Pro hitman Joe Flood, played by Dave Bautista, received terrible news from his doctor. He has a terminal illness.
He takes matters into his own hands by taking a hit out on himself for a quick kill instead of the long-suffering pain of the terminal illness.
But when the very hitmen he hired also target his ex-girlfriend, played by Sofia Boutella, he must fend off an army of assassin colleagues and win back the love of his life before it’s too late.
Written and directed by Drew Pearce, Hotel Artemis appears to be a black comedy. After watching the movie trailer, Jody Foster plays a nurse running a secret, members-only emergency room hospital. She mainly cares for criminals set in riot-torn, near-future Los Angeles.
Watching Foster in the movie trailer, I can tell it is science fiction, dark comedy, as she bumbles around talking about following the rules. Her character is not comely and looks weathered.
The movie includes several talented actors such as Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, Zachary Quinto, and Sterling K. Brown. All appear as a bunch of misfits.
Drew Pearce credits include as executive producer of several televisions series like Damage Control and Lip Service. He received writer and screenplay credit, respectively, for Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Iron Man 3.
Jodie Foster shines in this movie clip, as she will throughout the movie. I bet she had a great time performing as the nurse—a role made for her.
Filled with clips of different scenes is a movie trailer that is not telling us much, and I hope to see more footage so I can share it with you.
Directed by David Leitch and starring Oscar winner Charlize Theron, Atomic Blondeappears to be a breakneck action-thriller that follows MI6’s most lethal assassin through a ticking time bomb of a city simmering with revolution and double-crossing hives of traitors. But it is actually a hilarious movie. The trailer is such a wonkier.
The crown jewel of Her Majesty’s Secret Intelligence Service, Agent Lorraine Broughton, played by Theron, is equal parts spycraft, sensuality, and savagery, willing to deploy any of her skills to stay alive on her impossible mission. Sent alone to Berlin to deliver a priceless dossier out of the destabilized city, she partners with embedded station chief David Percival, played by James McAvoy, to navigate her way through the deadliest game of spies. Does this make any sense? It’s hilarious.
The rest of the cast is just awesome. The movie also stars John Goodman, Til Schweiger, Eddie Marsan, Sofia Boutella and Toby Jones. The film is based on the graphic novel series The Coldest City by Antony Johnston and illustrator Sam Hart.
These two interviews with Charlize and Sofia are well thought out. Charlize mentions Apartheid and Berlin during the Cold War. Sofia talks about how stunt work is quite different than dancing.
I am having fun watching the clips. They are so much fun and funny.
Directed by Alex Kurtzman, a remake is a remake, but Tom Cruise is a megastar. He headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures worldwide since the dawn of civilization – The Mummy.
Though safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess, played by Sofia Boutella, unjustly takes whose destiny from which they awakened her in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.
From the Middle East’s sweeping sands through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.
Here is the latest poster, which I like so much better than the first one above.
Here is the latest trailer, and I love this story. This is going to be an action pack movie – never a dull moment.
Cruise stars with a brilliant cast, including Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance, and Russell Crowe.
Here are some exceptional behind-the-scenes clips with special effects, makeup, and Tom Cruise.
The movie will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
