“The Fall Guy” Trailers, Clips and Featurette, Poster

Inspired by the 1980s hit TV series, real stuntman and director David Leitch helms an all-star cast in The Fall Guy. We follow a stuntman, played by Ryan Gosling, who, like everyone in the stunt community, gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment.

And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life, played by Emily Blunt, while still doing his day job.

Leitch is the blockbuster director of Bullet Train, Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and the producer of John Wick, Nobody and Violent Night. The Fall Guy is his most personal film because he’s an original stuntman. It’s his love letter to the under-appreciated crew in this supposedly hilarious, hard-driving, apex-action thriller.

Gosling stars as Colt Seavers, a battle-scarred stuntman who left the business a year earlier to focus on his physical and mental health. He is drafted back into service when the star of a mega-budget studio movie directed by his ex, Jody Moreno, played by Blunt, goes missing.

While the film’s ruthless producer, played by Hannah Waddingham, maneuvers to keep the disappearance of star Tom Ryder, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, a secret from the studio and the media, Colt performs the film’s most outrageous stunts while futilely trying to charm his way back into Jody’s good graces.

But as the mystery around the missing star deepens, Colt becomes entangled in a sinister, criminal plot that will push him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt.

The Fall Guy also stars Winston Duke and Stephanie Hsu.

Timothée Chalamet Upbeat and Playful in “Wonka” Trailers

Paul King directed Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet, who appears as playful, funny and charismatic as Willy Wonka. Produced by David Heyman, who brought us the Harry Potter franchise and other films, like Once Upon a Time … In Hollywood, the story follows Wonka during his formative years.

The focus is on young Willy, how he met the Oomp-Loompas on his early adventures, and how he established his candy manufacturing business.

Only Heyman can plan such a powerful cast, including Olivia Colman, Ryan Gosling, Hugh Grant, Sally Hawkins and Rowan Atkinson.

Here is a delightful story based on Roald Dahl’s classic novel and character.

“Barbie” Storyline, Trailers and Posters

Greta Gerwig directs the fantasy about Barbie being expelled from Barbieland for not making the grade of being the perfect Barbie doll. Despite the misfortune, Barbie heads off to the human world to make a name for herself and find true happiness.

Margot Robbie plays Barbie, and Ryan Gosling plays Ken. David Heyman of the Harry Potter franchise and other movies like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is the producer of Barbie alongside Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley.

Gerwig’s directorial credits include Lady Bird and Little Women.

Get a Perspective and Soar With “First Man” Trailers

Directed by Damien Chazelle, who brought six-time Oscar winner La La Land to the screen, and star Ryan Gosling reteam the true story, First Man. It’s the first time Chazelle has tackled a movie based on a book. The movie follows the captivating story of NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon.

Like the book, First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong, by James R. Hansen, the movie focuses on Neil Armstrong and the years 1961-1969.

Nicole Perlman wrote the first screenplay, and now by Josh Singer, who is familiar with writing true stories earning an Oscar win for Spotlight, the story delves into the sacrifices and the cost—on Armstrong and the nation—of one of the most dangerous missions in history.

The intensity of this scene speaks for the situation.

All the interviews regarding First Man that I’ve posted on YouTube, whether an actor, director, producer or consultant, they talk about the movie immerses the audience into the film. The movie clip where Armstrong crashes the lunar training vehicle shows you exactly how the production company pulled that off – you feel like you are right there with Armstrong.

The featurette talks about Armstrong’s walking on the moon. Fantastic stuff.

I am excited about the casting with Claire Foy, playing Armstrong’s wife, Kyle Chandler, and Jason Clarke.

The below movie trailer arrived a couple of days after the first one. Both are similar yet share the intensity helmed by Chazelle.

The impressive sound, direction, and the cast are intense and influential.

The movie is streaming and Blu-ray/DVD is available. The credits include Steven Spielberg as a producer. The movie is riveting at best. Now is the chance to see it if you haven’t seen it yet, or you can view it again.

“Song to Song” Trailer and Film Clips

Directed by Terrence Malick, who brought of The Thin Red Line and The Tree of Life, brings his filmmaking style in this modern love story set against the Austin, Texas music scene, two entangled couples—struggling songwriters Faye, played by Rooney Mara, and BV, played by Ryan Gosling, and music mogul Cook, played by Michael Fassbender, and the waitress whom he ensnares, played by Natalie Portman, —chase success through a rock ‘n’ roll landscape of seduction and betrayal.

I am curious how this will play out with Malick’s style of artful and non-sequitur cut ways he uses to tell a deep and meaningful life of his characters.

The Andy Warhol styled poster is pretty cool and does convey a modern twist of Pop Art and its crazy, eschewed pop culture.
