“RENFIELD” Trailers, Featurettes, Clips and Poster

Renfield is a horror thriller written by Ryan Ridley and directed by Chris McKay. Those familiar with Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula will recognize the character R.M. Renfield. The movie draws inspiration from Renfield.

The film follows Renfield, played by Nicholas Hoult. He’s a lawyer who journeys to Transylvania for business with an affluent nobleman. He becomes imprisoned in a castle under the spell of a sinister force.

The film delves into the origin story of Renfield and his collapse into madness. His relationship with Dracula, played by Nicolas Cage, moves the story along with some delightful humor.

Renfield is also a psychological thriller, exploring the themes of control, power and the human soul.

Additional cast members include Mckenna Grace, Dakota Fanning and Willem Dafoe in supporting roles.

Written by Will Tracy and Seth Riess and directed by Mark Mylod, The Menu follows a couple, played by Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult. Mylod is a British film and television director and executive producer. Entourage, Game of Thrones and Succession are some of his best works on television.

Joining the couple are three young, already inebriated tech brothers, Bryce and Dave, an older wealthy couple and repeat clients, Anne and Richard, renowned restaurant critic Lillian Bloom and her slavish magazine editor Ted, and a famous middle-aged movie star with his assistant Felicity.

With the immaculately dressed front-of-house staff led by general Elsa, the evening unfolds with increasing tension at each of the guest tables as secrets are revealed and unexpected courses are served. With wild and violent events occurring, Slowik’s motivation begins to rattle the diners as it becomes increasingly apparent that his elaborate menu is designed to catalyze a shocking finale.

Those Who Wish Me Dead

Competitive “Those Who Wish Me Dead” Survival as Breakthrough Value

Directed by Taylor Sheridan, Those Who Wish Me Dead follows a teenage murder witness, played by Finn Little, who finds himself pursued by twin assassins in the Montana wilderness. A survival expert played Angelina Jolie, tasked with protecting him — and a forest fire threatening to consume them all.

Other cast members include Jon Bernthal and Nicholas Hoult .

“The Current War” Posters, Clips, Trailer & Images

The cast brings a whole new dimension to the story.

Directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejoin, The Current War follows three brilliant visionaries set off in a charged battle for the future hold on electricity. The epic story of the cutthroat competition that literally lit up the modern world told in hush tones is now a motion picture.

Tom Holland as Samuel Insull and Benedict Cumberbatch as Edison

Benedict Cumberbatch is Thomas Edison, the celebrity inventor on the verge of bringing electricity to Manhattan with his radical new DC technology. On the eve of triumph, his plans are upended by charismatic businessman George Westinghouse, played by Michael Shannon, who believes he and his partner, the upstart genius Nikolai Tesla, played by Nicholas Hoult, have a superior idea for how to rapidly electrify America using AC current.

The poster is like the first one, but this poster says “Director’s Cut,” and that is fascinating. The movie has not been released, and there is a new version of the movie.

As Edison and Westinghouse grapple for who will power the nation, they spark one of the first and greatest corporate feuds in American history, establishing for future Titans of Industry the need to break all the rules.

Michael Shannon as Westinghouse

Alfonso Gomez-Rejon is best known for directing Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. Michael Mitnick wrote the screenplay and is also one of the producers of the movie. Mitnick adapted The Giver and scripted the episodic Vinyl.

The movie also stars Katherine Waterston, Tom Holland, Matthew Macfadyen, and Tuppence Middleton.

The next group of movie clips tells the tale of the war between Westinghouse and Edison. From the looks of it, Edison was a greedy man who only wanted fame and money.

Tesla’s vision surpassed any person at this time.

“Tolkien” Poster, Interviews, Featurettes, Clips and Trailers

Directed by Dome Karukoski, Tolkien follows the formative years of J.R.R. Tolkien, played by Nicholas Hoult. The movie explores the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school.

Tolkien falls in love with Edith Bratt, played by Lilly Collins.

This takes him into the outbreak of World War I, which threatens to tear the “fellowship” apart. All of these experiences would inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-Earth novels.

Dome Karukoski is from Finland and has directed several movies and television series in Finland.

The rest of the cast includes Laura Donnelly of Outlander, Colm Meaney, Anthony Boyle, Patrick Gibson, Tom Glynn-Carney, Craig Roberts, Genevieve O’Reilly, and Pam Ferris.

The second trailer is much better and gives a flavor of adventure. The feeling of his fellowship with his boyhood friends is strong. I am curious, though, about who Donnelly plays in the movie. We don’t see her in the trailers yet; her character is not listed.

The music is powerful in this trailer, giving the sense of adventure and conquer.

Two interviews are posted with the director and lead actor. I am impressed with how the director created the fellowship on the set and how Hoult researched Tolkien’s life during the time this movie takes place – such a poignant time in his life.

The featurette tells us nothing about the story, but the two main actors talk about Tolkien’s influence on them in general. Collin talks about her favorite scene relating to the ring. We all know how important the call is in Tolkien’s stories.

I saw a movie clip that showed a whimsical scene, which is so delightful. I tried to share it with you, but the studios blocked it. I am mentioning the clip because it is an adorable scene illustrating how Tolkien worked his imagination. The woman he loved encouraged him to tell his fantasy stories.

The movie is also a love story about a writer getting inspiration from the one he loves. The next featurette says it best.

The more I see about this movie, the more interested I am in seeing it in movie theaters. The following two features tell what the film covers and how it relates to Tolkien, the writer.

“Collide” Interview With Hoult and Jones

Directed by Eran Creevy, Collide follows a young American couple plunged into an adrenaline-pumping game of cat and mouse across Europe. They find themselves caught between two ruthless, feuding criminals.

The movie stars Nicholas Hoult, Oscar nominee Felicity Jones, and Oscar winners Anthony Hopkins and Ben Kingsley.

The wild, intricately folded, twisted story begins after a heist goes wrong. Casey Stein, played by Hoult, finds himself running from a ruthless gang headed by mob boss Hagen, played by Hopkins. Now Casey has precious cargo that belongs to Hagen, who will stop at nothing to retrieve it. Left with no choice, Casey calls his former employer and drug smuggler Geran, played by Kingsley, to protect his long-time girlfriend Juliette, played by Jones, before Hagen gets his hands on her. Casey sets out on an adrenaline-fueled car chase on the German highways to save the love of his life before it’s too late.

An excellent interview shows the chemistry of the actors Nicholas Hoult and Felicity Jones.

During the promotion and film release, some clips showed the intensity and craziness. After watching the trailer, I sense a twist in the story at the end. Don’t you?
