Created by Scott Z. Burns, eight interwoven stories explore the life-changing, intimate stories based on Burns’s viewpoint on climate change in the future.
Each scene in the trailer focuses on the choices made when the planet changes faster than the population. It’s dystopia, science-fiction and drama.
An impressive cast includes Meryl Streep, Ed Norton, Sienna Miller, Tobey Maguire and Marion Cotillard.
Based on the perennial novel by Louisa May Alcott and written for the screen and directed by Greta Gerwig, Little Women comes to the movie houses once again with Saoirse Ronan in the lead role as the Alcott’s distinctly other-self, Jo March.
Most of you are familiar with Gerwig’s Lady Bird, where Ronan played Lady Bird, a teenage girl trying to find the meaning of life through a coming of age and innocence. Gerwig also casts another alumnus from the movie, Timothée Chalamet, who plays the neighbor Laurie.
Jo reflects back and forth in her fictional life as Gerwig crafts the beloved story of the March sisters. They are four young women, each determined to live life on her terms, which is timeless and timely.
The sisters in the movie include Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, Laura Dern as Marmee, and Meryl Streep as Aunt March. New York Film Critics Circle (2019) awarded Laura Dern Best Supporting Actress for both Little Women and Marriage Story.

The Laundromat follows Ellen Martin, played by Meryl Streep, as her idyllic vacation necessitates an unbelievable twist when she investigates a fake insurance policy, only to find herself down a rabbit hole of questionable dealings linked to a Panama City law firm, and its vested interest in helping the world’s wealthiest citizens amass even larger fortunes.

The charming, and very well-dressed, founding partners Jürgen Mossack, played by Gary Oldman, and Ramón Fonseca, played by Antonio Banderas, are experts in the seductive ways of shell companies and offshore accounts help the rich and powerful prosper.

They are about to show us that Ellen’s expose only hints at the tax evasion, bribery, and other illicit absurdities that the super-wealthy indulge in to support the world’s corrupt financial system.
The movie clip shows the theme of the movie, and it is a comedy with a sense of hilarity in the two men talking to the camera while Streep talks about corruption.

Written and directed by Greta Gerwig, Little Women comes to the movie screen once again with a stellar cast of women and a couple of men. Many renditions of the classic book have come to us over more than 100 years of moviemaking.
The first adaption of Little Women was a British silent film in 1917 starring Gaiety Girl Ruby Miller. In 1918, U.S. silent film starred Dorothy Bernard. The first talking movie starred Katherine Hepburn and directed by George Cukor in 1933. The second movie starred June Alyson and Elizabeth Taylor with Mervyn LeRoy directing in 1949. The third starring Wyona Ryder in 1998. Then, a modernized version in 2018 starring Melanie Stone.
Gerwig, who directed the sleeper hit Lady Bird, crafted Little Women in a way the draws both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott. The movie unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life.

In that case, you will relate to the now-grown Jane, played by Emily Mortimer, and Michael Banks, played by Ben Whishaw. Together with Michael’s three children, they are, once again, following a personal loss visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins, played by Emily Blunt.
Through her unique magical skills and with the aid of her friend Jack, played by Lin-Manuel Miranda, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.

The studio now blocks one clip of the movie I posted. What I liked about the video was it showed the energy each actor contributes to the scene and, thus, the film.
My family and I saw the movie over the holidays and loved it. The film is upbeat and fun. The curtain call at the end will raise your spirits. Emily Blunt became Mary Poppins, which differs from Julie Andrews’ version but is more faithful to the books.

After my family saw the movie, we all agreed that the little dance scene was the best in the film. Next is the curtain call with balloons at the end, a great ending. I highly recommend the movie.
Emily Blunt marvels at how she takes “The Place Where the Lost Things Go” and sings it gently and beautifully to the Banks children. I hope Blunt sings an Oscar-nominated song at the Academy Awards presentation. I’d be ecstatic! The movie nabbed another Oscar nod for Original Score – Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. There are some real powerhouses in Steven Spielberg’s The Post. It is about an era when the newspapers sometimes had it right and new their duty to report the truth despite the flak from governmental interference.
Here we have Tom Hanks as Ben Bradlee and Meryl Streep as Kay Graham together under the direction of Spielberg’s mastery of timing in brilliant company. We follow them as they come to terms of printing classified information about the Vietnam War.
A time in history about an unlikely partnership between The Washington Post’s Katharine Graham, the first female publisher of a major American newspaper, and editor Ben Bradlee, as they race to catch up with The New York Times to expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that spanned three decades and four U.S. Presidents. If you know the story or read Graham’s book, you know these two people overcame their differences risking their livelihoods and careers – and their very freedom – to help bring long-buried truths out to the open.
Three powerhouses are working together, which I find super exciting and worth seeing. The movie also includes an ensemble cast including Alison Brie, Carrie Coon, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Tracy Letts, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, Jesse Plemons, Matthew Rhys, Michael Stuhlbarg, Bradley Whitford and Zach Woods.
