“Flight Risk” With Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery, Topher Grace

Mel Gibson directed Flight Risk, starring Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery and Topher Grace.

Written by Jared Rosenberg, this suspense thriller has a pilot, played by Wahlberg, transporting an Air Marsha, played by Dockery, accompanying a fugitive, played by Grace, to trial.

Crossing the Alaskan wilderness, they experience soaring tensions and tested trust because not everyone on board is who they seem.

Dockery says she appreciated being in the tight space while at the same time “flying through the mountains looking at those incredible views. It was really refreshing – even though we weren’t actually ‘flying.’ Flight Risk is about three characters who can’t go anywhere, so there’s a kind of intimacy and beauty that will be powerful on the big screen. It will feel vast, and it will feel like they’re alone out there.”

“Any time you’re in an aircraft, especially one as small as ours, it’s going to be claustrophobic,” Gibson explains. “We’ve played into everyone’s fear of flying, high altitudes, falling, and crashing.”

At the same time, what’s happening outside the plane provides its own kind of thrills, as Gibson continues, “The beauty of the film is that it takes place over the beautiful Alaskan Alps, which are stunning and spectacular, as well as intimidating and scary.”

Gibson was also drawn to the project because the script “kept me guessing and had some unexpected laughs; it was terrifying and had an intriguing mix of elements I found charming. There are no dead spots.”

“Dangerous” Action Movie With Mel Gibson and Scott Eastwood

Written by Christopher Borrelli and directed by David Hackl, Dangerous follows ex-con Dylan Forrester, played by Scott Eastwood. He attempts to reform his life outside of prison by seeing a psychiatrist, played by Mel Gibson.

In the trailer, Gibson’s portrayal of the psychiatrist is accurate, having psychotic episodes. Because Dylan’s brother dies under mysterious circumstances, he risks his freedom by taking off to find answers about his brother’s death.

The eccentric psychiatrist stays in touch by phone to ensure his patient remains stable. In fact, it is the psychiatrist who has lost his marbles, which is fun to watch in the trailer. During this time, Dylan is sidestepping the FBI agent, played by Famke Janssen, and confronting a gang of mercenaries who are also in the same pursuit as Dylan. The leader of the thugs, played by Kevin Durand, is hellbent on discovering the secrets. So, Dylan has to use his criminal mind to survive his latest pursuit.

The thriller also stars Tyrese Gibson.

Mel Gibson in Force of Nature

Enormous and Mainstream “Force of Nature” Trailer

Mel Gibson in Force of Nature

Directed by Michael Polish, Force of Nature stars Mel Gibson in an edge-of-your-seat action-thriller that erupts during a violent Category 5 hurricane.

The movie is going directed to streaming and retail.

The story follows a disgraced cop named Cardillo, played by Emile Hirsch, who races to evacuate an apartment building. He comes across Dr. Troy, played by Kate Bosworth, and her retired detective father named Ray, played by Gibson.

When a murderous gang of thieves arrives to rob a wealthy tenant, they must join forces to battle the criminals and escape for their lives before the entire city is deep underwater.

“Dragged Across Concrete” Trailer & Poster

Written and directed by S. Craig Zahler, Dragged Across Concrete follows two police officers, played by Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn, who find themselves suspended when a video of their strong-arm tactics leaks to the media.

With little money and no options, the embittered policemen descend into the criminal underworld. Waiting in the shadows, they find more than they bargained for or anticipated.

Zahler is best known for his 2015 film Bone Tomahawk, an Independent Spirit
Award-nominated picture starring Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, and Richard Jenkins.

Zahler wanted to make a movie like Prince of the City and Taxi Driver, “These two flawed, but decorated officers are ostracized for their behavior and soon find themselves reconsidering their moral codes. They are neither innocent good guys nor amoral bad guys, but human beings who do both commendable and dubious things: these two cops have no easy choices if they want to provide for their loved ones.” explains Zahler.

The movie also stars Don Johnson, Tory Kittles, Michael Jai White, Jennifer Carpenter, Laurie Holden, Fred Melamed, and Thomas Kretschmann. White is known for playing roles that require martial art moves. He has several black belts and works out on the film sets while shooting the movies.

The movie appears to have many levels of suspense. I am looking forward to seeing Gibson and Vaughn work together in this movie. Both are talented, and each one uses a different approach to achieving their characters.
