“A Minecraft Movie” Trailer, Images and Poster

minecraft movie poster

Based on the 2011 video game, welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity doesn’t just help you craft.

Directed by Jared Hess, the story follows the premise that creativity is essential to one’s survival!

Four misfits—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison, played by Jason Momoa, Henry, played by Sebastian Eugene Hansen, Natalie, played by Emma Myers, and Dawn, played by Danielle Brooks—find themselves struggling with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination.

To return home, they’ll have to master this world (and protect it from evil things like Piglins and Zombies, too) while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected, expert crafter, Steve, played by Jack Black. Together, their adventure will challenge all five to be bold and reconnect with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative…the skills they need to thrive in the real world.

“Borderlands” Trailers, Images, Storyline, Clip, Featurette, and Posters

Borderlands at IMAX

Eli Roth directs Borderlands, from the top-selling video game franchise. The story begins with Lilith, played by Cate Blanchett. She is an infamous bounty hunter with a mysterious past. Lilith reluctantly returns to her home, Pandora, the most chaotic planet in the galaxy. Her mission is to find the missing daughter of Atlas, played by Edgar Ramírez. He’s the universe’s most powerful S.O.B.

Lilith forms an unexpected alliance with a ragtag team of misfits, starting with Roland, played by Kevin Hart. He’s a seasoned mercenary on a mission. Next is Tiny Tina, played by Ariana Greenblatt, a feral pre-teen demolitionist. Tina’s musclebound protector, Krieg, played by Florian Munteanu, is next. Tannis, played by Jamie Lee Curtis, is the oddball scientist who’s seen it all. And Claptrap, played by Jack Black, is the wiseass robot.

Together, these unlikely heroes must battle an alien species and dangerous bandits to uncover one of Pandora’s most explosive secrets.

The universe’s fate could be in their hands, yet they’ll fight for something more: each other.

Eli Roth has written and directed many films. Some of his movies include:

Cabin Fever

The House With a Clock in Its Walls

Death Wish (Remake)

The whole gang is back for more.

Co-written and directed by Jake Kasdan, Jumanji: The Next Level brings the gang back together, but this time the game shifts.

The players return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own. They discover that nothing is as they expect. The players will face brave parts unknown and unexplored, from the arid deserts to the snowy mountains, in order to escape the world’s most dangerous game.

Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg co-wrote the screenplay with Kasdan. All three worked on Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle with Kasdan directing.

The cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Alex Wolff, Danny Glover, and Danny DeVito.

“The House with a Clock in Its Walls” Trailers, Movie Clips, and Posters

Directed by Eli Roth, The House with a Clock in Its Walls is a magical adventure. The movie follows a spine-tingling tale of 10-year-old Lewis, played by Owen Vaccaro.

Eli Roth credits pretty much rest on quite a few television series and some so-so horror movies.

You’ll recognize Vaccaro as the funny and spunky kid in Daddy’s Home movies.

Based on the children’s book written by John Bellairs and illustrated by Edward Gorey, Lewis goes to live with his uncle in a creaky old house with a mysterious tick-tocking heart.  But his new town’s sleepy façade jolts to life with a secret world of warlocks and witches when Lewis accidentally awakens the dead.

The second poster shows all the characters with the imagery spellbinding.

The movie also stars Jack Black, Cate Blanchett, Kyle MacLachlan, Colleen Camp, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Vanessa Anne Williams, and Sunny Suljic.

The movie is available on Blu-ray, DVD, and it streams from your favorite online source.  With that, you get to see the movie or you get to see it, again and again.

The two movie clips so how the Lewis relates to the house and his uncle as well as his uncle’s neighbor.  I have more clips available but two are block and one you can follow by clicking on the trailer at the each of either clip.

The second trailer is currently blocked worldwide, but hopefully, that is only temporary. The movie trailer is quite good and explains the whole story, which is helpful if you haven’t read the book.

“Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far On Foot” Trailers and Poster

Gus Van Sant directed Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far On Foot and brought us notable movies like To Die ForMilk and The Sea of Trees.

Based on a true story, the movie follows Joaquin Phoenix, a Van Sant alumni, as he performs John Callahan’s lust for life with a quirky knack for off-color jokes and an obvious drinking problem.

The tragedy begins with an all-night bender and ends in a catastrophic car accident. John wakes up using a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

The movie is about his journey back from rock bottom. His honesty and wicked humor turn out to be his saving grace. He builds friends with an oddball AA group while discovering that love is not beyond his reach. He develops a talent for drawing irreverent and sometimes shocking cartoons that bring him notoriety.

Amazon Studios produced the movie, which means I am a Prime member and will see it as soon as it leaves the movie theaters. I look forward to peaking at the acting chops of some fine actors in this movie, including Rooney Mara, Jack Black, and Jonah Hill.

Here is a second trailer with a soundtrack that is like The Beatles.

Check out the trailer and notice Jack Black and Jonah Hill take severe turns in this poignant story.

“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” Trailers and Vignette

Directed by Jake Kasdan, son of Lawrence Kasdan (Body Heat), who also directed Bad Teacher, Zero Effect, and Sex Tape, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle follows a breakfast club theme where four teenagers end up as avatars in the Jumanji game.

The teenagers discover an old video game console with a game they’ve never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game’s jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatars, played by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan.  Nick Jonas plays one on the teenagers. The trailer is fun to watch since the avatars are against type.

What teenagers discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji –Jumanji plays you. They’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, or they’ll be stuck in the game forever. If you haven’t seen the first Jumanji, then you wouldn’t know how to play the game.

I have to mention the first move because it is awesome and still available with Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst starring.

The newest poster is funnier. It really shows the characters. This could be a fun movie because giving it a Christmas release date shows the studios are banking on it being successful at the box office.  But, box office success doesn’t always mean a fun movie.
