Above Suspicion

The Truth About “Above Suspicion” Innovative Look at FBI Operative

Directed by Phillip Noyce, Above Suspicion is about one of the most notorious crimes in FBI history. Based on a true story, this gritty crime-thriller follows Susan Smith, played by Emilia Clarke, a young woman desperate to escape a seedy life of crime and drugs in a Kentucky coal-mining town.

When a newly minted FBI agent named Mark Putnam, played by Jack Huston, recruits Susan as his informant for a high-profile case, she believes her lousy luck may finally be changing.
But as Susan and Putnam’s relationship deepens, so does the danger, setting them both on a collision course with deadly consequences.

The rest of the cast includes Sophie Lowe, Austin Hébert, Karl Glusman, Chris Mulkey, Omar Miller, Kevin Dunn, Thora Birch and Johnny Knoxville.

“Last Christmas” Trailers, Featurette, Clips & Poster

Paul Feig directs Last Christmas based on Emma Thompson and Bryony Kimmings’ screenplay. Thompson also stars as Kate’s mother. Emilia Clarke of HBO’s Game of Thrones plays Kate, and Henry Golding of Crazy Rich Asians plays Tom.

The story begins with Kate harrumphing around London, making terrible decisions with an irritating job as an elf at a year-round Christmas store. The store owner, played by Michelle Yeoh, is not a pleasant boss.

Billed as a romantic comedy, I believe Feig, whose directed raunchy all-women comedies, is vying for a cute, lovable, clean movie hitting it big at the box office.

Last Christmas will be the one that makes it big compared to A Simple Favor, which had the makings of success but missed the opportunity because of the storyline and pace of the movie.

When Kate meets Tom, who seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of Kate’s barriers, London transforms into the most incredible time of the year. Nothing should work for these two.

But sometimes, you got to let the snow fall where it may, you got to listen to your heart, and you got to have faith.

Last Christmas features the music of George Michael, including the bittersweet holiday classic of the film’s title. The film will also premiere new unreleased material by the legendary Grammy-winning artist, who sold over 115 million albums and recorded 10 No. 1 singles throughout his iconic career.

Look at the movie trailer; you will agree this is a must-see for the Christmas holiday.

The second trailer looks hopeful, and I don’t think the ending is sad; fingers crossed.

I hope something worthwhile happens in the movie, but nothing tragic. While watching the clips, I kept thinking the shoe would never drop but fate may have a different destiny. Golding’s character must be an angel of some sort.

The featurette tells where the movie was filmed in London. It’s a cute piece, fast passed, and worth watching.

Emma Thompson, who wrote this screenplay, is marvelous in this clip.

“Solo: A Star Wars Story” Trailers, Featurettes, Interview, and Posters

Directed by Ron Howard, we learn about the early years of one of Star Wars most beloved heroes – Hans Solo.  Plenty of posters, movie clips, featurettes, and trailers are posted here for you to peruse. You can start with the teaser trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The movie boards the Millennium Falcon and journeys to a galaxy far, far away in an all-new adventure with the one of the most known about scoundrel in the galaxy. The movie is a story about Han Solo, played by Alden Ehrenreich, at the beginning of his adventures in Star Wars.

The Blu-ray and DVD are on the streets with streaming available as well. Check out the trailer promoting the next phase of seeing Solo: The Star Wars Story.

Remember, the special featurettes will be worth the purchase.

I am looking forward to having this movie package as part of my personal library.  The Star Wars franchise is such a pleasure and exciting part of the entertainment industry.

Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, played by Donald Glover. The story will set the course for one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.

The screenplay is written by Lawrence Kasdan and his son, Jon Kasdan, which means it will be a great story.  Senior Kasdan is very familiar with the Star Wars series.  He wrote Empires Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and Force Awakens.

The also stars Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Paul Bettany.

The next featurette came out the day of the US opening night. It offers even more information about the characters and the story.

I am posting Ron Howard’s interview because he articulates the story and cinematic approach to making a movie about Han Solo. He talks about working with George Lucas and the production team.

Becoming Solo featurette tells a bit more about the story in terms of the Empire.

Here is a super cool tour of the Falcon. Donald Glover is the tour guide.

The second trailer tells more of the story, and it appears Han Solo gets involved with some ruffians.
