“Alien: Romulus” Trailers

Fede Alvarez directed Alien: Romulus, a film about a group of young people from a distant world who come face-to-face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. Dan O’Bannon, Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues wrote the script. Ridley Scott, the original director of the Alien franchise, produced the movie.

The first trailer is six seconds over one minute, so it doesn’t tell us much. We hear screaming and see a bloodbath and aliens. Alvarez reportedly said the story takes place between the Alien and Aliens movies.

Historically, Romulus was the creator and initial king of Rome. He’s also known for having a twin brother, Remus. Mythology surrounds Romain history at this time with unclear events and institutions.

Nothing is left to the imagination. It is pretty graphic.

The cast of Alien: Romulus includes Isabela Merced, Cailee Spaeny, Archie Renaux and David Jonsson.

Hilarious Look at Discovering “How It Ends”

Co-written and co-directed by Zoe Lister-Jones and Daryl Wein, How It Ends follows freewheeling Liza, played by Zoe Lister-Jones. She scores an invitation to one last wild party before the world ends.

The catch is she takes her younger self, played by Cailee Spaeny, with her. This is a feel-good apocalyptic comedy, and making it to the party won’t be easy after her car gets stolen, and the clock is ticking on her plan to tie up loose ends with friends and family. Liza embarks on a hilarious journey across Los Angeles, running into an eclectic cast of characters.

The sizeable stellar cast includes Whitney Cummings, Tawny Newsome, Finn Wolfard, Nick Kroll, Logan Marshall Green, Bobby Lee, Fred Armisen, Glenn Howerton, Bradley Whitford, Ayo Edebiri, Sharon Van Etten, Olivia Wilde, Paul W. Downs, Raymond Cham Jr., Lamorne Morris, Angelique Cabral, Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer, Helen Hunt, Colin Hanks, Charlie Day, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Pauly Shore.

The Craft: Legacy

“The Craft: Legacy” YA Startling Revenge

The Craft: Legacy

Written and directed by Zoe Lister-Jones, The Craft: Legacy continues Blumhouse’s cult hit The Craft. The story follows an eclectic foursome of aspiring teenage witches who get more than they bargained for as they lean into their newfound powers. You won’t catch this movie in the theaters as it’s set for on-demand.

The film stars Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, Zoey Luna, Nicholas Galitzine, Michelle Monaghan, and David Duchovny.

“Pacific Rim Uprising” Trailer, Poster, Movie Clip, Blu-ray/DVD

This storyline is nothing new and sounds a bit like Transformers, so I suspect this movie is for the kids at heart. The globe-spanning conflict between otherworldly monsters of mass destruction and the human-piloted super-machines built to vanquish them was only a prelude to the all-out assault on humanity in Pacific Rim Uprising.

I am interested in John Boyega of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, who stars as the rebellious Jake Pentecost, and Scott Eastwood of Fate of Fast and Furious.  Check out this interview with Boyega.

The Blu-ray and DVD have hit the streets and the movie is streaming. If you haven’t seen the movie yet nows the time.  If you are into Godzilla and Transformers, you really enjoy this movie. The battles are so awesome to watch.  This second trailer is so much better at letting us know what we will discover in the movie theater.
