“The Equalizer 2” Trailers, Poster, Extended Movie Clip

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, Denzel Washington returns to his role in the first sequel of all Washington movies. The Equalizer 2 follows Robert McCall, played by Washington, as he continues to serve an unwavering justice for the ill-used and coerced.

This time around McCall applies justice for the death of someone very special in his life. How far will he go to make sure justice is served when that is someone he loves?

The movie also stars Pedro Pascal, Ashton Sanders, Bill Pullman, and Melissa Leo.

The studio marketing department did wonders with the movie poster. EQ2 and two side by side images of Washington’s face communicate so well.

The Equalizer franchise is based on a television series created by Michael Sloan and Richard Lindheim. The TV series starred Edward Woodward, who played retired espionage and intelligence officer with a cagey past. He applies his skills from his previous profession to apply justice to innocent people. People trapped in threatening situations with no recourse except the Equalizer.

Fuqua has worked with Washington before in the 2001 Oscar-winning movie Training Day.

The extended movie clip shows how the Equalizer, Washington, operates and predicts his movies.

The second trailer is entertaining in the sense of intensity. The movie is filled with action and sharp cuts by Fuqua’s direction. We can only hope for an awesome ending to satisfy our palate.

The movie trailer shows McCall applying his revenge as justice is served.  The little girl is so cute and adorable.

“SuperFly” Trailers and Poster

Directed by Director X, SuperFly is a remake. The original played a significant role in the film industry.

Now, we have a remake, and the movie is being touted as reimagined. Director X introduces the movie’s genre to its characters, look, sound, and feel.

The screenplay is by Alex Tse, who also wrote movies like Watchmen and Sucker Free City. I never heard of these movies, but he is writing another remake—The Crow.

The second trailer tells more about the story as an actor narrates it.

Look at the movie trailer and see if the style, sound, and feel are befitting the original SuperFly.

“The Spy Who Dumped Me” Trailers, Featurette, Interview, Movie Clips, and Posters

Co-written and directed by Susanna Fogle, The Spy Who Dumped Me follows a pair of friends embark on an espionage adventure after one of them finds out her ex is a spy. Fogel wrote the funny, funny script with David Iserson.

Sam Heughan of Outlander fame is not the star of this comedy, but he will draw the Outlander fans. Mila Kunis who plays Audrey, Kate McKinnon, who plays Morgan, and Justin Theroux, who plays Drew, are the stars of the movie. They all look fantastic in the teaser trailer.

The energy in the featurette below tells us what is going to happen in the movie. Yes. Sam Heughan, our very own Jamie in Outlander, tells us about the movie.

The poster on the left is more realistic without the color motif of the other poster.  Overall, the posters copy the James Bond design and theme, which is a complement to the 007 franchise. Outlander fans are super excited with Sam Heughan, their own Jamie, playing a role in this comedy-adventure.

I am excited to say you can now stream or purchase your own Blu-ray or DVD of The Spy Who Dumped Me. Here are the trailer and movie clip promoting the releases.

Screenwriter Dave Iserson talks about working with the actress, director, and even Sam Heughan.  He praises Sam for his work and his fans. based on Outlander

The below movie clip is so funny.  No Sam Heughan from Outlander, but that is okay. At least, we know the movie is a blast.

I am laughing so hard. The second trailer is even funnier and better. Plus, we get to see a lot of Sam Heughan, which is great for Outlander fans.

All I can say is the movie trailer is hilarious. It is so funny.  I laughed and laughed.

“Spinning Man” Trailer, Poster, Featurettes, Clip

Directed by Simon Kaijser, Spinning Man is based on the book of the same name by George Harrar adapted for the screen by Matt Aldrich. The move follows Evan Birch, played by Guy Pearce. He is a family man and esteemed professor at a distinguished college, where his charm and reputation have made his philosophy class very popular.

When a female student named Hannah, played by Jamie Kennedy, goes missing, Evan’s previous off-campus dalliances make his wife, played by Minnie Driver, question his alibi.

Gruff police Detective Malloy, played by Pierce Brosnan, has even more reason to be suspicious when crucial evidence makes Evan the prime suspect in Hannah’s disappearance. Suddenly, the questions Evan comes to grip with aren’t merely academic – they’re a matter of life or death.

The movie trailer is tight and suspenseful, and I keep wondering what happened to the student. It appears in the 100-minute movie there is a twist at the end of a storyline about examining a crime, punishment, and conscience undertones.

I have a feeling Brosnan is going to steal the show. He has developed into quite an actor. He was amazing in the  Only Boy in New York. The movie also stars Clark Gregg, Odeya Rush, Alexandra Shipp, and Freya Tingley.

This clip seems like they shouldn’t worry, but they sure seem worried.

This movie clip gets intense and he sure seems guilty.

In Part 1 of the Featurette Brosnan and Driver talk about when they worked together on Brosnan’s first James Bond Movie.

In Part 2, the Featurette is filled with the actors talking about working with the director. The director, Simon Kaijser, talks about working with the story and actors.

“Skyscraper” Posters, TV Spot, Featurette, and Trailers

Written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, Skyscraper follows former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Sawyer, played by Dwayne Johnson. Sawyer’s job is to assess security for skyscrapers.

Skyscraper

He is on an assignment in China. The story is not clear if he is assessing the tallest, safest building in the world or just visiting when suddenly it’s ablaze—framed for causing it to catch fire.

Sawyer becomes a wanted man on the run. He must find those responsible for the fire to clear his name. At the same time, he has to figure out someway how to rescue his family trapped inside the building above the fire line.

The movie is available on Blu-ray, DVD, and streaming. So, if you haven’t seen it yet, now you can unless you’ve seen it and want to see it again.

Universal Pictures released the movie as a 3D action-thriller. The list of producers is long, and they are all connected to making action-thrillers like San Andreas, Pirates of the Caribbean series, and Kong: Skull Island.

The third movie trailer tells more about the story, and the intensity of the circumstances Johnson’s character confronts.

The featurette offers a bit more information about Johnson’s character while learning more about the special effects.

The second trailer explains the storyline more, and we see more action and stunts happening in the movie.

Here is the trailer, which pretty much tells you the story.  It looks like a lot of action and CGI.

Here is the TV Spot. The poster shows a man leaping from one skyscraper to the next. So, it looks pretty action-packed.  Also, starring with Johnson is Neve Campbell, Chin Han, Noah Taylor, Roland Møller, Byron Mann, Pablo Schreiber, and Hannah Quinlivan.

“Halloween” Trailers, Featurettes, Movie Clips, and Poster

Co-written and directed by David Gordon Green, Jamie Lee Curtis returns to one of her best roles in the movies. Laurie Strode comes to her ultimate confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

John Carpenter will not direct this time but will executive produce and serve as a creative consultant. The rest of the cast includes Judy Greer, Will Patton, Nick Castle, Andi Matichak and Omar J. Dorsey.

Following Carpenter’s classic, filmmakers David Gordon Green and Danny McBride crafted a story that carves a fresh path from the events in the groundbreaking 1978 movie.

Forty years ago, Michael Myers went after Laurie Strode in the original Halloween. There are two featurettes focusing on the original movie. One featurette focuses on how the production team dealt with making the Myer’s mask look older. In the next featurette, the cast, crew and director share their stories when they first saw the original Halloween.

Now, the movie is available on Blu-ray, DVD, and is streaming. Purchase your copy and keep it in your library, so you can play it every Halloween or whenever you need a dose of Myers stalking Jamie Lee Curtis.

Here are a couple of movie clips with Michael Myers. He hasn’t changed over the last 40 years in prison.

The movie clip below shows how intense the movie will get when Laurie Strode confronts Michael Myers.

The featurette is so much fun to watch. Curtis is one of my favorite actors.

The second trailer is better than the first. I see some familiar faces.

Jamie Lee Curtis is fantastic in the movie trailer. This is going to be a fun and horrific movie.

The First Purge Posters, Trailer, TV Spot, Movie Clip, and Featurette

Written by James DeMonaco and directed by Gerard McMurry, The First Purge follows the idea that behind every tradition lies a revolution.  The filmmakers are talking about the next Independence Day, witness the rise of our country’s 12 hours of annual lawlessness.  A movement that started as an experiment.

The silliness or craziness of the story is to push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) test a sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community.  But when the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the marginalized, the contagion will explode from the trial-city borders and spread across the nation.

Still, don’t think this is not worth seeing because DeMonaco, reportedly, has some success with the movie storyline as a series, The Purge: Election Year, The PurgeThe Purge: Anarchy and The Purge: Election Year.

Now, he is returning with McMurry directing his script. The cast includes Y’Lan Noel, Lex Scott Davis, Joivan Wade, Luna Lauren Velez, and Marisa Tomei.

The movie is streaming and the Blu-ray and DVD are on the streets as well.  If you want to see it again, or haven’t seen it, now is your chance.

The movie clip is an argument about Dimitri wanting to kill Nya’s brother during the Purge.

The featurette gives a little bit of information.  The whole story feels awkward.

The movie trailer pretty much tells you about the movie.  I am not sure if this is a horror movie or just a destructive movie.

The TV Spot called Together doesn’t offer much. I am sure more information will be coming soon.

Unsane Trailer, Poster, Movie Clips

Directed by Steven Soderbergh, who has brought us profound and laughable movies, takes a deeper shot using an iPhone camera at the psychiatric institution. The charlatans at best as Unsane follows a young woman Sawyer Valentini, played by Claire Foy of The Crown, who is involuntarily committed to a mental institution.

This movie explains why psychiatric institutions should be closed down and green mental health prevails.

While incarcerated she is confronted by her greatest fear – but is it real or is it a product of her delusion?

The movie is co-written by Jonathan Bernstein and James Greer and includes Joshua Leonard, Jay Pharoah, Juno Temple, Aimee Mullins, and Amy Irving.  It’s good to see Irving in a movie. I’ve missed her.

This clip is intense. It reminds of a time I was helping a mother release her daughter from a psychiatric facility.  Her daughter was being abused, she needed my help. The nurse at the facility was degrading and as a joke said I couldn’t leave the hospital. I put her in her place and she apologized.  Moral of the story, stay away from these institutions, nothing but harm comes from them.

This clip is pretty horrific, and I would never want to be in her shoes.  I am impressed with the use of the iPhone camera. Soderbergh created some awesome angles.

Soderbergh is a genius and this clip is so intense.  I don’t know if I will be able to watch the movie. Which means, horror fans will love it.

Watch this trailer, Claire Foy is amazing. The edit cuts of the trailer and direction by Soderbergh is per entertainment.

“Acrimony” Poster, Trailers, Movie Clips, Interviews, and Blu-ray/DVD

Written and directed by prolific artist Tyler Perry,  Acrimony follows Taraji P. Henson in the psychological thriller. She becomes enraged after learning the truth about her philandering husband.

The movie trailer pretty much tells the story. The movie also stars Lyriq Bent, Tika Sumpter, Jazmyn Simon and Jay Hunter.

Check out the poster. It gives us an idea of who the movie follows. It seems to be a testimony. I love those words, “Hell – Hath – No – Fury.”

The Blu-ray and DVD are on the streets, so check it out if you haven’t seen the movie yet or want to see it again.

The second trailer gets more into her soul and her problems with her cheating husband. I am impressed with the foreboding tone of the overall theme.

Crystle Stewart said in an interview Perry shot the film in eight days. That is unbelievable.

The movie clip below says much about what the movie is about. We are going to be seeing some fatal attraction.

Taraji P. Henson talks the talk with lots of truth about relationships. It is worth watching.

Tyler Perry talks about why he made this movie and how deeply it means to him.

“Breaking In” Trailer, Movie and Poster

Directed by James McTeigue, Breaking In follows actress Gabrielle Union as she plays a woman who will stop at nothing to rescue her two children being held hostage in a house designed with impenetrable security.

No trap, trick and especially no man inside can match a mother with a mission when she is determined to breaking in.

The movie also stars Billy Burke, Richard Cabral, Ajiona Alexus, Levi Meaden, Jason George, Seth Karr,  and Christa Miller.

I like these movie clips because they show how tough these women can be. You go, girls!

The trailer pretty much tells the story, but Union looks good and is one demanding mother.
