A.X.L. Trailer, Movie Clips, and Poster

Directed by Oliver Daly, A.X.L. is about a teenage boy, named Miles, played by Alex Neustaedter. He champions as a motocross rider.

While riding his motocross bike he stumbles on a military robotic dog called A.X.L.  They meet in a junkyard where  A. X.L. is broken down and needs repairs. Miles pushes some of the robotic dog’s buttons and helps him function better. They become fast friends.

The story has evil masterminds that are experimenting with the robotic dog and the teenage boy.  Miles has a pretty girlfriend named Sara, played by Becky G.

Soon the military wants A.X.L. back. Miles notices more and more how A.X.L. is becoming more of a sentient dog and doesn’t want to be with the military as a killing machine.

Billed as a science fiction and family movie, kids might want to see the movie and overlook some of the corny stuff that goes with family movies.

“When I conceived of the story,” Daly recalls, “I https://youtu.be/UE1zB4-LUfEwas thinking about early sci-fi monster movies, like Frankenstein and The Island of Lost Souls, where a creature is created by a scientist as a power grab, or by the military as a way to control other people. Those films show us that humans are sometimes the real monsters, and the monster is just a reflection of our own fears and greed.”

The movie clips show us more of the mechanical dog and the budding relationship between all three characters.

The movie trailer tells us about the movie and the story.

“Distorted” Trailer and Poster

Directed by Rob King, Distorted follows a young couple, played by Christina Ricci and Brendan Fletcher. They decide to leave the hustle and bustle of city life to the rural, luxury life at The Pinnacle.

The Pinnacle is not all that it is cracked up to be. There is something horrifically fishy about the tenants and living conditions. Ricci’s character, Lauren, befriends an investigator, played by John Cusack. Together, they try to uncover a possible brainwashing conspiracy at The Pinnacle.

The movie trailer is good and tells us the story. Back in my mind, I am thinking horror and suspense, but the studio is calling the movie “electric thriller.” You be the judge and watch the movie trailer.

“Kin” Posters, Movie Clips, Featurette, and Trailer

Written and directed by Josh and Jonathan Baker, the movie is about a young man and his adopted teenage brother. A revengeful criminal chases them, the feds and a gang of otherworldly soldiers. The supernatural means it has a science fiction twist to the story. Dennis Quaid stars as the father, and Carrie Coon, James Franco, and Zoe Kravitz star.

The young man, played by Jack Reynor, is recently released from prison. He and his brother, Eli, played by Myles Truitt, are forced to run. They have a rifle-like weapon of mysterious origin that Eli found. They use the rifle effectively because it is super powerful and needs to fight off some bad guys.

The poster on the right shows more about the movie. The otherworldly aspect of the story is evident. Not much is being told about the overall story yet.

The movie is streaming and is available on Blu-ray and DVD. Now it is your turn to watch it on your device.

Just below the poster on the right is the motion poster for Kin.

The poster focuses on the young boy who finds the alien gun.

The featurette teaches what it takes to be a sound designer for a movie like Kin. I love this stuff.

The movie clip shows Zoe Kravitz in action.

The movie clip shows how the alien gun works.

The movie clip shares a plot point in the story. That is interesting because I can’t imagine someone leaving that much money at a bar.

I am not sure why the movie is called Kin. It could be about the relations between the brothers being kin even though they are not blood-related. The title could be referring to the powerful weapon. Just have to see the movie to find out.

The movie trailer tells the story and what the two brothers are up against.

“Beast” Trailer, Movie Clip, and Poster

Written and directed by Michael Pearce, very little is promoted about the movie Beast. The story follows a young woman named Moll, played by Jessie Buckley – an Irish singer and actress. Moll lives in an isolated community with her domineering family.  She meets a stranger named Pascal, played by Johnny Flynn – an English poet and musician.  It is rumored that Pascal is a ruthless murderer with reports of young girls being murdered and then buried.  Moll is torn between her family, the rumors, and Pascal’s true intentions.  Horror is written all over this movie.

The movie received five nominations from different film festivals such as Best Screenplay at the Miami Film Festival, Best First Feature at the London Film Festival, and Platform Prize for Michael Pearce at the Toronto Film Festival.

The movie trailer is nerve-wracking, suspenseful, and horrific. Toward the end of the movie trailer, another character is introduced but I can’t tell for sure Could this be the real murderer?

The movie clip shows her getting even with her mother.
