“A Dog’s Journey” Trailer and Poster

Sappy, sappy, and tears, I am a sucker for a movie about dog souls returning to their masters or mistresses. What a great story about how friendships transcend lifetimes. The movie trailer tells the whole story, but heck, I am sold. I want to see this movie.

Directed by Gail Mancuso, who won an Emmy for TV’s Modern Family, it creates a movie about how some friendships transcend lifetimes. A Dog’s Journey is the sequel to the popular film A Dog’s Purpose. Bailey finds his new destiny and forms an unbreakable bond, leading him through unconditional love and companionship.

Bailey, voiced by Josh Gad, is living the good life on the Michigan farm of his “boy,” Ethan, played by Dennis Quaid, and Ethan’s wife, Hannah, played by Marg Helgenberger. His new playmate is Ethan and Hannah’s baby granddaughter, CJ.

The movie is available on Blu-ray and DVD and streaming online.

The problem is that CJ’s mom, Gloria, played by Betty Gilpin, decides to take CJ away. As Bailey’s soul prepares to leave this life for a new one, he makes a promise to Ethan to find CJ and protect her at any cost.

Thus begins Bailey’s adventure through multiple lives filled with love, friendship and devotion as he, CJ, played by Kathryn Prescott, and CJ’s best friend Trent, played by Henry Lau, experience joy and heartbreak, music, and laughter.

“Spider-man: Far From Home” Trailer, Clips, Featurette, and Posters

Directed by Jon Watts, Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, returns in yet another chapter, Spiderman: Far From Home.

Screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers; this time, Spiderman decides to join his best friends Ned, played by Jacob Batalon, MJ, played by Zendaya, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation.

However, Peter’s plan to leave superheroics behind for a few weeks is quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent.

Jon Favreau, who directed and had a minor role in the Iron Man movies, plays the love interest of Mary Parker, played by Marisa Tomei.

Another superhero arrives in the Disney and Marvel movies. Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal. You get to see him at the tail-end of the movie trailer. Don’t blink because you might miss him.

The three posters show different aspects of the movie and how it rolls out for the moviegoers. Spiderman is traveling with his classmates. Each poster represents a location in Europe. In the first one, we see Spiderman in Berlin.

The second poster shows him in London on the London Eye, also known as a giant Ferris wheel.

The next one is Spiderman in Venice, hanging out with the gondolas.

The following trailer offers spoilers for the recently released Avengers Endgame movie. With that, it is up to you to decide whether you want to watch this trailer.

The following clips show us what to expect when seeing the next Spiderman movie. Be careful if you have not seen the last Avengers movie because there are spoilers.

The Spiderman suits are a big deal in the movie. From this feature, it looks like he has two of them. I like the black one because he can do so much more wearing it. The red and black one is gorgeous.

“MIB: International” Trailers and Posters

Directed by F. Gary Gray, Men In Black: International follows an upstart known as Agent M, played by Tessa Thompson. She joins the group and partners with Agent H, played by Chris Hemsworth. MIB has always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe.

However, in this new adventure, they tackle their biggest global threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization.

The movie also stars two stellar actors, Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson. Hemsworth looks yummy.

The third trailer tells us the whole story and what the CGI includes, with Thompson’s character stating at the beginning of the trailer, “We are a rumor.” It looks like a no-brainer and popcorn entertainment.

“Hellboy” Trailers, Featurettes, Clip, Interviews & Posters

Directed by Neil Marshall and based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy follows the iconic character as he gets caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human. Played by Stranger Things David Harbour, he battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.

Marshall’s directing credits include episodic shows like Lost in Space and Westworld. He’s also directed features, including Dog Soldiers and Doomsday.

Harbour is fantastic and so believable as Hellboy. Delivering his lines straightforwardly with a touch of irony makes each scene in the trailer fun to watch. The song in the trailer brings us a whole new level of entertainment.

The rest of the cast includes Milla Jovovich and Sasha Lane. Jovovich is familiar with this genre and adds credibility to the storyline. Jovovich is known for her dynamic work in the Resident Evil franchise.

I am not planning on seeing this movie because it is not my genre. The trailers look fantastic, and Harbour is impressive. He is so right for Hellboy. I am excited for him.

The movie clip shows how tongue-in-cheek the story moves along through archetype villains. Hellboy is not serious, but it’s all for fun.

The featurette shows how the movie follows one of Hellboy’s comic book stories, comparing some movie images with the comic book drawings.

The movie clip shows some impressive CGI effects. Then we see the more we know, and the movie follows the comic book.

I picked three interviews that offer insight into what the newest version of Hellboy will bring us in the movie theaters and the box office. First, we have Daniel Dae Kim as “Major Ben Daimio,” listening to Kim talk about his character is surreal. He is so in tune with Daimio that it goes to another dimension.

The second interview is with Milla Jovovich, known as “Nimue and The Blood Queen.” She explains the story in the movie. She has Hellboy dialed. Her Beastie Boys t-shirt adds a lot to the interview, as well. This lady is a stick of dynamite, continually blowing up with excellent and refreshing energy.

Finally, David Harbour, as the “Hellboy” interview, is terrific. Ian Shane, who plays his adopted father, says in an interview he’s seen Harbour on Broadway. I can’t believe this guy’s been on Broadway. I thought  Stranger Things was his only avenue other than Hellboy. No wonder he is so talented. I admired his remarkable work in the first season of the Netflix series Stranger Things.

“Where’d You Go, Bernadette?” Trailers, Featurette, and Posters

I decided to place the second poster above the first poster because it illustrates the movie better.

Co-written and directed by Richard Linklater, Where’d You Go, Bernadette? focuses on
15-year-old Bee, played by Emma Nelson, after her stressed-out mother, played by Cate Blanchett, disappears.  Bee does everything in her power to track her down, discovering her mother’s troubled past in the process.

The movie is available on Blu-ray, DVD, and streaming sites. It’s a fun movie to watch about family, being a mother, and coming to terms with destiny.

Holly Gent and Vince Palmo co-wrote the screenplay based on the book of the same name by Maria Semple. Linklater’s credits include writing and producing. His last well-known movie is Boyhood

Blanchett is a stick of dynamite, an award-winning actress, and Bernadette is another explosive role for her to play.  A talented cast surrounds her, including Judy Greer, Kristen Wiig, Laurence Fishbourne, and Billy Crudup.

The second trailer draws you in and includes how much fun the movie is to watch. Blanchett is coming from so many levels as Bernadette. It is delightful to watch. Mothers who put their careers aside for marriage and family will find companionship.

I am adding Blanchett’s soundbites concerning the movie because any mother and daughter can relate to this movie.

Watching the featurette compels me to read the book. I agree with the director. Bernadette is not crazy; the world is crazy.

“Avengers: Endgame” Poster, Featurette & Trailers

Co-directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, not much is released about the next Avenger movie called Avengers: Endgame.  People are watching the trailer and speculating based on what they see.

The Blu-ray/DVD and streaming is available, so now is the time to see the movie again. If you are one of the few people who haven’t see the movie yet, now you can in the comfort of your home.

I am guessing that half of the Avengers who are thought to be destroyers are not, and there is a rescue attempt.

Christopher Markus and Stephan Feeley are the screenwriters. Both are familiar writing about Marvel heroes, and both were part of the screenwriting team of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Some of the cast is seen in the trailer, and some are listed on IMDB. Those listed include
Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper,  and Brie Larson.

Our superheroes are angst and looking to kick some super-intergalactic booty. They are bent on revenge for the deaths of their superhero buddies.

The featurette does say much about the movie but clicks on the press conference video at the end of the featurette. It will lead you to three more parts to the press conference. It’s great to hear what the actors have to say about being in this Marvel franchise.

It looks like Captain Marvel is going to save the day.

“Artemis Fowl” Trailers, Featurette, Poster

Directed by Kenneth Branagh, Artemis Fowl is based on a popular book series by Eoin Colfer. It appears all the actors in the movie are from the UK.

Ferdia Shaw plays Artemis Fowl II, a young Irish criminal mastermind who kidnaps the fairy LEPrecon officer Holly Short, played by Lara McDonnell, for ransom to fund the search for his missing father.

Michael Goldenberg, Adam Kline, and Conor McPherson scripted the fantasy, action, and adventure movie. Goldenberg’s credits include Peter Pan, a great movie and a secret gem, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and Contact.

Shaw is a newcomer, but McDonnell has starred in other movies. The movie also stars Judy Dench, Miranda Raison, and Hong Chau.

The following trailer shows a lot more about the movie. If you read the books, hopefully, the story stays the same as much as possible.

It is not your typical kid story; the featurette explains how it came to the movie screen.

Now, we have a television commercial.

Colin Farrell is excellent in this scene.

“Mary, Queen of Scots” Trailers, Featurettes

Directed by Josie Rourke, Mary, Queen of Scots, is based on the book by John Guy called “Queen of Scots: The True Life of Mary Stuart”. Mary Stuart’s, played by Saoirse Ronan, attempt to overthrow her cousin Elizabeth I, Queen of England, played by Margot Robbie. Stuart finds herself condemned to years of imprisonment before facing execution.

The second trailer shows how fierce each woman gets over winning the throne.  I posted some behind the scene clips on My YouTube Channel. The clips show details in the costumes, amazing.

Watch the trailer and clips. You will see some fine acting.

Mary, Queen of Scots appears to be Rourke’s first movie, but her theatrical experience is quite extensive. She is the Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse, and her productions have transferred to Broadway, the West-End and won Olivier Awards.

The two featurettes are put together showing how the two women interrelated with each other and their times. Rourke shares the difference between the two queens while Ronan talks about Mary Stuart as a dynamic woman. Robbie talks about how the two women were influenced by men who influenced and ruled the culture at the time.

Watch the informer, great story.

“The Informer” Trailer and Poster – Revolutionary and Monumental

Take a look at this poster, so cool.

Based on a book by Börge Hellström and directed by Andrea Di Stefano, The Informer follows an honorably discharged Special Ops soldier, played by Joel Kinnaman. Pete Koslow’s world turns upside-down when he is jailed after a fight to protect his wife, played by Ana de Armas.

He’s given a chance for early release by becoming an informant for the FBI agents, played by Rosamund Pike and Clive Owen. He uses his covert skills in an operation to take down The General. I believe, played by Sam Spruell. He is the most powerful crime boss in New York.

An FBI sting meant to finally earn Koslow his freedom results in the death of an undercover NYPD cop. Koslow was caught in the crossfire between the mob and the FBI.

The General insists Koslow takes the heat and sends him back to prison to spearhead a drug operation from inside, and the FBI affirms that going back to jail to do The General’s bidding is the only way for Koslow to keep his deal with them alive.

Caught in a world of impossible choices, Koslow must return to prison, where he formulates a plan to escape the clutches of three of New York City’s most influential organizations –the mob, the NYPD and the FBI –to save himself and his family.

Di Stefano is best known as an actor. He also directed Escobar: Paradise Lost  and Last Night of Amore.

“Twilight 10th Anniversary” Trailer and Poster

We all know the story, right?

The franchised started off with the first installment directed by Catherine Hardwicke. Twilight is based on a series of novels by Stephenie Meyer. Bella Swan, Kristen Stewart, doesn’t expect much when she moves to the small town of Forks, Washington until she meets the mysterious and handsome Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson. Cullen is a boy hiding a dark secret.  He’s a vampire. As their worlds and hearts collide, Edward must battle the bloodlust raging inside him as well as a small group of undead that would make Bella their prey.

All five of the Blu-ray Combo Packs feature new unique box art designs from renowned illustrator Justin Erikson, who brings to life the epic saga with his distinct illustrations. The entire collection includes hours of special features including deleted scenes, character featurettes, cast interviews, music videos and more. For additional value, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn – Part 1 also include both the Theatrical and the Extended versions of the film. I admit I never read the books nor seen the movies but I know of the Twilight craze.  Careers were launch from this franchise, and the fan-based is strong. With that, enjoy the tenth-anniversary trailer.
