“21 Bridges” Posters, Clips & Trailers

Directed by Brian Kirk, 21 Bridges follows an embattled NYPD detective, played by the late Chadwick Boseman. He is thrown into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy.

As the night becomes day, lines become blurred about who he is pursuing and who is in pursuit of him. The search intensifies when extreme measures prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan.

The authorities close all 21 bridges in and out of the island, preventing no entry nor exit from the fabled island.

Matthew Michael Carnahan and Adam Mervis wrote the movie. Carnahan’s credits include Lion for Lambs, World War Z, and Deepwater Horizon. Mervis is also an actor and a playwright. The film 21 Bridges appears to be his first produced screenplay.

The late Boseman starred in the Marvel movies from Black Panther to Avengers Endgame and played Jackie Robinson in 42.

Kirk’s credit includes episodic television such as Games of Thrones and Penny Dreadful. This movie appears to be his first feature movie as well.

The cast includes Taylor Kitsch, Sienna Miller, Stephan James, and J. K. Simmons. You might recognize Stephan James as the young man in love in If Beale Street Could Talk and the heartfelt veteran in Homecoming, starring with Julia Roberts.

Anthony and Joe Russo, the directing team and brothers who brought us four Marvel movies, including Avengers Endgame, produced The 21 Bridges.

The movie trailer is entertaining, like a short film with all the key players. The poster shows Roseman as the cop that criminals do not want to contend with and notice his eyes are two different colors.

SD Comic-Con trailer is long, with lots of features and details about the movie.

The third trailer takes on his journey through Manhattan. Boseman is intense and one tough dude.

These clips show how intense this movie can get. So, hang on tight and let the drama begin. Oh, there is a bit of eye candy for the girls in the third clip.

The following clip shows us another aspect of the story. I like the characterization and the conflict between these two cops.

“Gemini Man” Trailer, Featurette, Clips & Poster

Directed by Ang Lee, who is one of the most innovative directors, Gemini Man follows Henry Brogan, played by Will Smith. He becomes targeted and pursued by a mysterious operative, who is younger than Brogan. The pursuer seems to predict every move Brogan makes to avoid confrontation.

The movie billed as an innovative action-thriller also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, and Benedict Wong.

The screenplay is written by David Benioff, Billy Ray, and Darren Lemke. Lee is an Oscar-winning director and appears to be taking on a box office winner compared to his earlier movies of late. He is backed by top producers Jerry Bruckheimer, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger.

Though the trailer offers spoilers, the main point of the story is a younger version of Brogan is pursuing him, and he needs to discover the reason and who is behind it.

The featurette highlights what filmmakers can do with CGI (Computer Generated Imagery Animation ) and beyond. Viewers see the finished product on the screen, and it looks like nothing to it. Oh no, the technology is phenomenal.

The second trailer tells us that there is more to the movie than we thought. Though, the story is not complicated and appears to be about these two men trying to exceed each other for the man who made them both. Lee captured a brilliant shot in the chase scene with the water reflection of the younger version of Brogan.

The next four movie clips are scenes from the movie trailers. There is a lot of action and philosophical dialogue.

“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” Trailer, Clips, Featurettes, TV Spot & Interview

I am so excited that J.J. Abrams is returning to direct the final chapter of the saga from a galaxy far, far away.

The standard cast is returning with some new faces, including Lupita Nyong’o, Mark Hamill, Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley, Keri Russell, Adam Driver, Billy Dee Wiliams, and the late Carrie Fisher.

Abrams also co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Terrio, and there appears to be a new Droid.

The red carpet interview with producer Kathleen Kennedy reveals the franchise hasn’t finished yet. Still, the other red carpet interviews with J.J. Abrams and stars talk about this being the last movie of the nine Star Wars movies.

Star Wars is a big box office winner. I side with Kennedy. The space opera stories must continue even if the next one starts with a different group of characters.

The “Special Look” shows the Star Wars past and the movie’s ending. In the middle, we see C-3PO with red eyes. At the end of the footage, we see Rey (or is it Rey) on the Darkside.

The third trailer shows a lot happening in the final movie. All of it is exciting.

Here is a TV spot and yes it advertises to purchase your advance tickets. Not a bad idea considering it will sell out in some locations. The TV spot does offer some clues to the story and new footage. Enjoy!

The Star Wars Culture featurette says it all.

The next featurette is fabulous. Enjoy!

The movie is about legends.

Funny scene, yes, “They fly now.”

“Anna” Poster and Trailer

Written and directed by Luc Besson, Anna follows a striking beauty, Anna Poliatova, played by Sasha Luss. Her secret unleashes her indelible strength and skill as one of the world’s most feared government assassins.

Besson intends an “electrifying thrill ride unfolding with propulsive energy, startling twists and breathtaking action.”

Besson credits include Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, The Fifth Element, Nikita, and The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc.

This is Luss first leading role with Oscar winner Helen Mirren, Cillian Murphy, and Luke Evans.

“Stuber” Poster, Clips & Trailers

Directed by Michael Dowse, Stuber follows a level-headed Uber driver named Stu, played by Kumail Nanjiani. He picks up a passenger, played by Dave Bautista, who turns out to be a cop hot on the trail of a brutal killer.

Stu in pushed into a harrowing ordeal where he desperately tries to hold onto his wits, his life, and his five-star rating.

The movie also stars Iko Uwais, Natalie Morales, Betty Gilpin, Jimmy Tatro, Mira Sorvino, and Karen Gillan.

This is the second movie Bautista has coming out back to back with My Spy. The trailer is funny, no it’s hilarious.

The next movie trailer is red band, which means it is disgusting. The trailer is not for faint hearts or ears.

The next movie clip is similar to what we see in the trailers.

Another clip that shows the dangerous of being an Uber driver for a police officer.

The next movie clip is different from the other clips and trailers. The human heart aspect of the story starts in this clip.

Colorful and Cute “My Spy” Trailer & Posters

Directed by Peter Segal with the screenplay by Jon and Erich Hoeber, My Spy introduces us to JJ, a hardened CIA operative, played by Dave Bautista. Recently demoted, he finds himself at the mercy of an exceptionally smart 9-year-old girl, named Sophie played by Chloe Coleman.

Working undercover and assigned to surveil Sophie’s family undercover, he wishes he did not have to do this job. She discovers his hidden cameras in their apartment and uses her sharp technical skills to locate where the surveillance operation originates.

Caught in the act and in exchange for not blowing JJ’s cover, Sophie connives him to spend time with her and teach her to be a spy. Despite his reluctance, JJ finds he is no match for Sophie’s unforgiving charm and wit.

Here is the new poster. It is not that much different from the earlier except for the “Amazon Original” at the top.

I was skeptical about this movie but then saw the trailer. It looks funny, and kids will laugh and be entertained.

The movie has ended up at Amazon, where it streams for Prime members and non-members. The new trailer below adds the Amazon titling to make it official.

“Dragged Across Concrete” Trailer & Poster

Written and directed by S. Craig Zahler, Dragged Across Concrete follows two police officers, played by Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn, who find themselves suspended when a video of their strong-arm tactics leaks to the media.

With little money and no options, the embittered policemen descend into the criminal underworld. Waiting in the shadows, they find more than they bargained for or anticipated.

Zahler is best known for his 2015 film Bone Tomahawk, an Independent Spirit
Award-nominated picture starring Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, and Richard Jenkins.

Zahler wanted to make a movie like Prince of the City and Taxi Driver, “These two flawed, but decorated officers are ostracized for their behavior and soon find themselves reconsidering their moral codes. They are neither innocent good guys nor amoral bad guys, but human beings who do both commendable and dubious things: these two cops have no easy choices if they want to provide for their loved ones.” explains Zahler.

The movie also stars Don Johnson, Tory Kittles, Michael Jai White, Jennifer Carpenter, Laurie Holden, Fred Melamed, and Thomas Kretschmann. White is known for playing roles that require martial art moves. He has several black belts and works out on the film sets while shooting the movies.

The movie appears to have many levels of suspense. I am looking forward to seeing Gibson and Vaughn work together in this movie. Both are talented, and each one uses a different approach to achieving their characters.

“Angry Birds 2” Trailers, Clips & Posters

Directed by Thurop Van Orman, Angry Birds 2 looks cold and silly. The domestic movie trailer shows a conflict of sorts between tropical birds in paradise and a tundra bird being miserable.

Peter Ackerman wrote the screenplay, and the little dialogue I can hear in the movie trailer appears not for kids’ ears. The storyline is not clear. The sequel seems to have a bigger voice cast with new and returning talent.

The studio promises the flightless birds, and scheming green pigs take their beef to the next level. I doubt the movie will be as addicting as the app.

The movie entertains kids of all ages. The competition we see in the app happens on the screen. The more powerful birds get the accolades as seen in this movie trailer.

I haven’t played the app game in a very long time. These posters are so cute, and the bird expressions are priceless.

The studio is calling this the fifth trailer, so enjoy. It is funny and cute.

The two clips are silly but funny. The bathroom clip is hilarious.

Two more movie clips that show how cute and silly these birds can get when they set their minds to it. The first clip is my favorite.

The “Sus Sis” clip is too funny and doesn’t help me understand this movie at all.

The next two clips show how the movie is ridiculous.

“Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” Trailers, Featurette & Posters

Directed by David Leitch, the next franchise installment brings us the first stand-alone sequel as Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprise their roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

The movie is available streaming, Blu-ray, or DVD.

Hobbs and Shaw heaved blows at each other since they first appeared in the franchise together in 2015. Hobbs being the loyal agent and Shaw the outcast bent on breaking the law.

But when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton, played by Idris Elba, gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever — and bests a brilliant and fearless .rogue MI6 agent, played by Vanessa Kirby, who is Shaw’s sister.

The movie boasts international-globe crossing adventure with a new flair for the Fast & Furious diehard fans.

Leitch directed Deadpool 2 and took the script from longtime Fast & Furious screenwriter. The movie looks to be another hit at the box office. Helen Mirren also stars, and her interview is next.

Helen Mirren plays Shaws’ mother.

The second trailer puts us right into the action and destruction with unbelievable, and crazy, wild stunts.

The featurette explains Hobbs’ brothers and what it means to Johnson.

“We Die Young” Trailer and Poster

Directed by Lior Gellar, We Die Young follows a ten-year-old boy named Miguel, played by
Nicholas Sean Johnny. Elijah is mixed up with the MS-13 gang in the crime-ridden burg of Washington, D.C. He works as a runner for the gang and is connected to the gang’s ruthless drug lord, Rincon, played by David Castaneda. His big brother Lucas, played by Elijah Rodriguez, desperately wants to keep him safe, so they flee for their lives.

Meanwhile, the brothers befriend a veteran named, played by Jean-Claude Van Damme, who is still traumatized from being in the armed service. Daniel helps them find their revenge against Rincon and the MS-13 gang.
