“Intrigo: Death of An Author” Poster and Trailers

Adapted for the screen by Birgitta Bongenhielm, directed by Daniel Alfredson, and based on the international best-seller by Hakan Nesser, Intrigo: Death of An Author stars Ben Kingsley.

The story is an intense, riveting thriller that keeps you guessing. After an author named David, played by Benno Fürmann, plots the seemingly accidental murder of his wife, played by Tuva Novotny, her body is never recovered.

He’s convinced that she’s still alive. Meanwhile, as David translates the final novel by a writer who also died mysteriously, he finds himself attracted to the man’s sultry widow. Fact or fiction, life, or death in his tale, nothing is guaranteed.

The cast includes  Michael Byrne, Veronica Ferres, Daniela Lavender, Tor Clark, David Lowe, Jason Riddington, Sandra Dickinson, Angus Kennedy, Annamaria Serda, Elizabeth Counsell, Clarence Smith, Ed Cooper Clarke, Sian Webber, Christopher Crema, Peter Cirica, Gordan Kičić, Andria Kazelas, and Ivona Kustudić.

The second trailer is much better and explains the storyline. With that, it looks like a lot of twists and turns.

“Hell On the Border” Poster and Trailer

Having escaped from slavery after the Civil War, Reeves arrives in Arkansas seeking a job with the law. To prove himself, he must hunt down a deadly outlaw, played by Frank Grillo, with the help of a grizzled journeyman, played by Ron Perlman.

As Reeves chases the criminal deeper into the Cherokee Nation, he must not only dodge bullets in hopes of earning his star but severe discrimination and ends up cementing his place as a cowboy legend.

The cast includes Chris Mullinax, Jaqueline Fleming, Rudy Youngblood, Nick Loren, Marshall Teague, Gianni Capaldi, and Zahn McClarnon.

“Inherit the Viper” Poster and Trailer

Written by Andrew Crabtree and directed by Anthony Jerjen, Inherit the Viper follows two siblings, Kip, played by Josh Hartnett, and Josie, played by Margarita Levieva. Dealing with opioids isn’t just their family business; it’s their only means of survival.

When a deal goes fatally wrong, Kip decides he wants out. But Kip’s attempt to escape his family’s legacy ignites a powder keg of violence and betrayal, imperiling Kip, Josie, and their younger brother, Boots, played by Owen Teague.

Stories involving families are searing and make a compelling situation for a crime-thriller. The movie also includes Valorie Curry, Chandler Riggs, Brad William Henke, Tara Buck, Dash Mihok, and Bruce Dern.

“Troop Zero” Posters and Trailer

Directed by Bert & Bertie, Troop Zero takes place in a tiny Georgia town in 1977. A motherless girl dreams of a life beyond the confines of her trailer-park home. When her quest for connection leads her to reach for the stars in a competition that lands on NASA’s landmark Golden Record, it becomes clear she will have to depend on some new friends to take her the last mile.

Every night, Christmas Flint, played by Mckenna Grace, sits under a starry sky with a flashlight, signaling to extraterrestrial visitors that never arrive. Sensitive, imaginative, and deeply lonely, Christmas and her equally eccentric best friend Joseph are the ultimate misfits in their rural hometown of Wiggly, Georgia. When Christmas learns that the winners of the annual Birdie Scout Jamboree talent contest will be included on a recording to be sent into space for posterity, her mission in life becomes to join the Scouts and win Jamboree.

A snobbish local Birdie Scout troop and their uptight leader Miss Massey, played by Allison Janney, blackball her. Christmas rallies a group of elementary-school outliers to start their own chapter. With grudging help from her dad’s angry office manager, Miss Rayleen, played by Viola Davis, Christmas and her crew have to bypass every roadblock Miss Massey can find in the fine print of the Birdie bylaws to reach the Jamboree and their chance at immortality.

The Official Sundance Poster

The movie entertains on many levels with Christmas’ solitary late-night vigils and final show-stopping musical performance. Troop Zero is an endearing and magical tale set against a backdrop of beloved hits of the ’70s, as Christmas forges friendships that will change her life and help her find a real family.

Janney and Grace starred together in I, Tanya, which Janney won an Oscar for her supporting role.

Watch the trailer and have a good belly laugh.

“Togo” Poster, Clips & Trailer

Directed by seasoned cinematographer Ericson Core and screenplay by Tom Flynn, Togo is about the story of the sled dog, Togo, who led the 1925 serum run but was considered by most to be too small and weak to lead such an intense race.

The movie will leave you feeling good about survival and giving the underdog a chance to prove him or herself.

The adventure movie stars Willem Dafoe, Julianne Nicholson, and Christopher Heyerdahl.

The following four clips are pure entertainment, especially the last one is intense.

Listen to Billie Eilish sing the them song to No Time to Die.
Billie Eilish

I am very excited that Billie Eilish will sing the theme song for No Time To Die. I wonder if she is working closely with Hans Zimmerman. Eilish said, “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song on a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”

The Sizzle Reel below is short and offers a perspective of Craig’s role as James Bond.

“No Safe Spaces” Poster and Trailer

Directed by Justin Folk, No Safe Spaces appears to be a documentary that reveals how identity politics and the suppression of free speech are spreading into every part of society and threatening to divide America.

No Safe Spaces, starring Adam Carolla and Dennis Prager, is a film with a mission: to expose the growing threat to free speech on American university campuses and throughout the culture at large. Carolla and Prager take the audience on a compelling and entertaining journey across the county to discover why Americans should unite to protect the First Amendment.

In its first month of limited release, No Safe Spaces has shattered expectations in select theaters. It opened at a single screening in Scottsdale, Arizona, with the second-largest box office opening at a single screen after Michael Moore’s Sicko. Since then, it has maintained strong momentum throughout its limited release in spite of several significant movies released at the same time.

“Black Widow” Featurettes, Poster, TV Spots, Trailers

Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow is about Natasha Romanoff, played by Scarlett Johansson, in her quests between the films Civil War and Infinity Wars.

Ned Benson and Jac Schaeffer co-wrote the screenplay based on Stan Lee, Don Heck, and Don Rico comic books.

Rachel Weisz and David Harbour play critical roles in the movie – Weisz as Melina Vostokoff and Harbour as Alexei Shostakov and Red Guardian.

Weisz’s most recent role was in The Favouriteand she is married to James Bond, Daniel Craig. David Harbour played the Sheriff in Stranger Things and played Hellboy in the remake.

Black Widow is Shortland’s first major movie, though it looks like she directed a couple of arthouse movies.

Not a lot of information about the movie, so we watch the trailer to figure out what is happening in the story. It looks like the Black Widow goes home and spends time with her family.

The TV spot is 90 seconds long, almost the length of a trailer, and it contains what is in the above trailer and a little bit more.

I am impressed with these presentations, and I am hoping for a great movie.

“The Last Full Measure” Poster, Clips, Trailer

Directed by Todd Robinson, The Last Full Measure tells the true story of William Pitsenbarger, played by Jeremy Irvine, an Air Force medic who saved over sixty men in one of the harshest battles of the Vietnam War.

Offered the chance to escape on the last helicopter out of the combat zone, Pitsenbarger stayed behind to save and defend the lives of his fellow soldiers.

Twenty years later, Pitsenbarger’s comrade in arms, played by William Hurt, and father, played by Christopher Plummer, seek the help of investigator Scott Huffman, played by Sebastian Stan. Along with other surviving veterans of the battle, they finally procure him The Congressional Medal of Honor he deserved.

The movie also stars Samuel L. Jackson and Ed Harris.

The next four movie clips show you what the comrades in arms had to push through to give this war hero a much-deserved medal of honor.

Genuine and Daring “Emma” Poster, Clips, Trailer

Directed by Autumn de Wilde, we have another angle of Jane Austen’s flair for writing intriguing stories that are not only funny but revealing.

Austen’s popular comedy is about finding your equal and earning a happy ending. Her story reimagined is a delightful innovative film adaptation of her book Emma. We follow handsome, intelligent, and rich, Emma Woodhouse, played by Anya Taylor-Joy, who is a restless queen bee without competitors in her sleepy little town.

In this glittering satire of social class and the pain of growing up, Emma must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along.

Wilde’s directing credits are light, but the movie looks good as the trailer shows how funny and silly the film will be. The rest of the cast includes Johnny Flynn, Bill Nighy, Mia Goth, Miranda Hart, Josh O’Connor, Callum Turner, Rupert Graves, Gemma Whelan, Amber Anderson, Tanya Reynolds, and Connor Swindells.

The next two clips show how funny the movie is with the silliness of situations and characters.

The next two clips show us the drama and love in the movie.
