“Silo” Trailers and Images

Mission Impossible actress Rebecca Ferguson stars with a fine cast in the Apple TV series Silo, based on the book series of the same name by Hugh Howey.

In a science-fiction, dystopia storyline, we follow Juliette, played by Ferguson, in a ruined and toxic future. Here, a giant underground silo community plunged hundreds of stories deep.
People live in a society full of regulations that they believe protect them.

Also starring in the series are Tim Robbins, Rashida Jones, Harriet Walter and Ferdinand Kingsley.

“What’s Love Got To Do With It?” Trailer, Poster Clips and Images

A dynamite cast directed by Shekhar Kapur brings us a rom-com we might enjoy.
What’s Love Got To Do With It? presents an old question: How do you find lasting love in today’s world?

For documentary-maker and dating app addict Zoe, played by Lily James, swiping right has only delivered an endless stream of Mr. Wrongs. Yet, her eccentric mother, Cath, played by Emma Thompson, shows dismay.

For Zoe’s childhood friend and neighbor Kaz, played by Shazad Latif, the answer is to follow his parents’ example and opt for an arranged (or “assisted”) marriage to a bright and beautiful bride from Pakistan.

As Zoe films his hopeful journey from London to Lahore to marry a stranger his parents chose, she wonders if she might have something to learn from a profoundly different approach to finding love.

Apple TV’s “Extrapolations”

Extrapolations, an Apple TV series, dwells on the near future. Climate change has become embedded into everyday life.

Created by Scott Z. Burns, eight interwoven stories explore the life-changing, intimate stories based on Burns’s viewpoint on climate change in the future.

Each scene in the trailer focuses on the choices made when the planet changes faster than the population. It’s dystopia, science-fiction and drama.

An impressive cast includes Meryl Streep, Ed Norton, Sienna Miller, Tobey Maguire and Marion Cotillard.

Raimi’s “Evil Dead Rise” Trailers and Poster

Produced by Sam Raimi and directed by Lee Cronin, Evil Dead Rise is the fourth installment of the Evil Dead franchise.

Set in a city high-rise building, two sisters, played by Alyssa Sutherland and Lily Sullivan, fight for survival against many demons unleashed by Necronomicon. This supernatural book holds dark powers.

Using their resources and skills, the sisters stay alive, preventing the evil from spreading beyond the building.

The comedy-horror aspect of the film may prove entertaining.

The leader, Ryan Reynolds, hired them for their skill and desire to delete their pasts to change the future. The vigilante squad intends to ensure that they take down notorious criminals and evil dictators. While the leader and his fellow operatives are no longer remembered, their actions damn sure will be.

One is the leader, played by Reynolds. He’s a billionaire making his fortune through technology. He’s seeking redemption for former mistakes. Two, played by Melanie Laurent, is a former CIA operative. Three, played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, is a hitman. Four, played by Ben Hardy, is a parkour specialist. Five, played by Adria Arjona, is a doctor. Six, played by Dave Franco, is a driver and getaway expert.

“White Men Can’t Jump” Coming to Hulu

Calmatic directs this remake, White Men Can’t Jump, making it a contemporary story about racial differences in athletes.

The movie stars Sinqua Walls and Jack Harlow as a pair of hustlers who team up on the court.

“Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” Trailers and Posters

Adam Wingard directed this latest version of Godzilla vs. King Kong movie. The teaser trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire shows a menacing Kong and two burnt Godzilla heads. Keep watching the other trailers because the storyline unfolds. Kong and Godzilla, though enemies, join forces to combat and conquer something so menacing and dynamic.

“City on Fire” Trailer and Images

Jesse Peretz directed City on Fire about someone shooting an NYU college student in Central Park on July 4, 2003. Based on the book of the same name by Garth Risk Hallberg, Apple TV has turned the story into an episodic series.

The investigation connects her to mysterious citywide fires and the downtown music scene.

A wealthy uptown real estate family enters the fray under the strain of the many secrets they keep.

Affleck’s “Hypnotic” Trailer, Images Clips and Posters

Robert Rodriguez directs Ben Affleck in Hypnotic, a film about hypnosis altering Affleck’s mental perception. Watch the trailer, and the plot is hard to follow.

The film follows a detective, played by Affleck, who learns his missing daughter, played by Hala Finley, relates to a string of high-profile bank robberies.

He takes us on a mind-bending journey to find out the truth about his daughter. He joins Diana Cruz, played by Alice Braga, who opens his eyes to the hypnotic suggestions caused by a secret government agency.

We soon learn the madness associated with the sinister mystery man, played by William Fichtner.

“White Bird” Starring Helen Mirren and Gillian Anderson

Mark Forster, who brought us Finding Neverland, Christopher Robin and A Man Called Otto, directed White Bird. The story is from White Bird: A Wonder Story, by the best-selling author of Wonder.

The film follows Julian, played by Bryce Gheisar, who has struggled to belong. It all started when his former school expelled him for his treatment of Auggie Pullman.

To transform his life, Julian’s grandmother, played by Helen Mirren, finally reveals her story of courage to Julian. During her youth in Nazi-occupied France, a boy shelters her from mortal danger.

In his grandmother’s story, we find first love in an enchanting, magical world of their creation, while the boy’s mother, played by Gillian Anderson, risks everything to keep her safe.
