Jeff Nathanson wrote the script, and Barry Jenkins directed Mufasa: The Lion King. The musical drama prequel is about the rise of Simba’s father. In the original The Lion King, Mufasa’s brother, Scar, killed him to steal the throne.

Some of the cast includes Aaron Pierre, Seth Rogen, Thandiwe Newton, Donald Glover and Beyonce.

As the years have passed, they’ve seen each other less and less, so when the chance to reunite for a summer camp reunion arises, they all take it, some begrudgingly and others excitedly.

In flashbacks, we see their younger versions, played by Koki and Palmi Kormakur Baltasarsson.

Zoe Kravitz and E.T. Feigenbaum wrote the script Blink Twice, which Kravitz directed.

The story follows cocktail waitress Frida, played by Naomi Ackie. At his fundraising gala, she meets tech billionaire Slater King, played by Channing Tatum. Sparks ignite, and he invites her to join him and his friends on a dream vacation on his private island.

It’s paradise. Wild nights blend into sun-soaked days, and everyone’s having a great time. No one wants this trip to end, but as strange things happen, Frida questions her reality.

Something is wrong with this place. She’ll have to uncover the truth if she wants to leave this party alive.

The ensemble cast includes Alia Shawkat, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, Haley Joel Osment, Christian Slater, Kyle MacLachlan and Geena Davis.

Blink Twice is Kravitz’s directorial debut movie.

Josh Cooley directed the latest Transformers movie, which is entirely animated and sure to draw kids’ attention for many years.

Transformers One is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies. Once, they were friends who bonded like brothers. They changed the fate of Cybertron forever.

In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, Transformers One features a well-known voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, with Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm.

Joachim Ronning directs Young Woman and the Sea about the first woman, Trudy Ederle, played by Daisy Ridley, to swim across the English Channel in 1926.

Disney describes it as an American biographical drama about Ederle, a competitive swimmer who won Olympic gold in 1924.

The supporting cast includes Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Stephen Graham, Kim Bodnia and Janette Hain.

Joker takes a musical journey with Gaga.

Todd Phillips directs Joker: Folie à Deux with Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as the Joker. Lady Gaga, as Harley Quinn, brings magic to the movie. Together, the film is supposedly a jukebox musical, according to Variety.

Phillips told Variety that this assumption is accurate, but the film features a wealth of song and dance numbers. Still, very little information is known about the sequel’s storyline.

Army commando Amrit, played by Lakshya, finds out his true love Tulika, played by Tanya Maniktala, becomes engaged against her will. He boards a New Delhi-bound train in a daring quest to derail the arranged marriage.

But when a gang of knife-wielding thieves led by the ruthless Fani, played by Raghav Juyal, terrorize innocent passengers on his train, Amrit takes them on himself in a death-defying kill-spree to save those around him — turning what should have been a typical commute into an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride.

Nikhil Nagesh Bhat directs Kill, a high-adrenaline film with riveting stunts. Most recognize Bhat for his work in Hindi film productions. The cast includes Hars Chhaya, Ashish Vidyarthi, Abhishek Chauhan and Parth Tiwari.

There is hardly any information about Disneynature’s Tiger movie. The trailer says most of what you need to know. The production went to India’s jungles and filmed tigers.
