Surging High Tech “Bloodshot” Poster, Trailer, Images

Watch Bloodshot with Sam Heughan from Outlander

Directed by David S. F. Wilson, Bloodshot follows the story based on the bestselling comic book. Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation.

With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he’s an unstoppable force –stronger than ever and able to heal instantly.  But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not – but he’s on a mission to find out.

Vin Diesel and Sam Heughan

Bloodshot is Wilson’s first feature film. He has an extensive career in visual effects from games to movies like Star Wars and The Avengers games.

Outlander‘s Sam Heughan

Eric Heisserer and Jeff Wadlow wrote the screenplay based on the comic book series by Yvel Guichet, Bob Layton, Don Perlin, and Kevin VanHook. Heisserer’s credits include Arrival and Bird Box. Waldow’s credits include writing and directing Truth or Dare and Kick-Ass 2.

The comic-book movie also stars Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell, and Guy Pearce.

Watching the trailer, we see Heughan, who plays Jimmy Dalton as the robot man with mechanical tentacles.

The second trailer is not all that different from the first trailer, but clips show subtle humor and lightness, which lets the public know it’s not all violence and death.

“Destroyer” Trailer, Movie Clip, and Poster

Directed by Karyn Kusama, Destroyer follows Erin Bell, played by Nicole Kidman, a veteran LAPD detective spinning out of control emotionally and physically while on a dangerous journey to find the murderer and gang leader, Silas, played by Toby Kebbell. Bell’s journey’s purpose is finally to make peace with her tortured past.

Destroyer is, at its core, a film about confronting your mistakes and making the brave decision to be accountable for your actions. Within the relatable frameworks of crime thriller and cop movie, it’s also an insistent character study, hinging on the wounded but resilient psychic landscape of an LAPD detective named Erin Bell. The criminal underworld she investigates, alongside a storytelling structure that allows for a narrative surprise,” says Kusama.

Kusama’s directing credits include episodic TV series and feature movies The Invitation and Girlfight. The screenplay is written by  Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi, who worked together on The Invitation and other projects

A pivotal aspect of the movie is Bell’s relationship with her sixteen-year-old daughter, Shelby, played by Jade Pettyjohn, with whom she is estranged. Her clumsy attempts to reach out to Shelby consistently backfire, exacerbating Bell’s overwhelming sense of hopelessness and loss.

The movie clip “I’m Bad” pretty much says it all about Kidman’s character. She believes she is terrible, but what do the other characters in the movie believe she is bad? I want to find out. At this point in the story,  she might realize she is terrible and then become good or better than she was – bad. As I mentioned before, and I might again, I hope the movie storyline includes some high points because it is obvious there are quite a few low points.

The movie seems like a downer, but hopefully, the story has some high points, and the ending is upbeat. So far, the movie trailer doesn’t show any upbeat points.

“The Hurricane Heist” Trailers, Superbowl TV Spot, Blu-ray/DVD

Directed by Rob  Cohn, who brought us The Fast and Furious, The Hurricane Heist follows treasury agent Casy, played by Maggie Grace, as she works with Will, played by Toby Kebbell and his former Marine brother, played by Ryan Kwanten,  to survive a Category 5 hurricane and stop a  team of tech masterminds from stealing $600 million making it the biggest heist ever achieved.

The Blu-ray and DVD hit the streets. If you haven’t seen it yet, now is your chance.

The Blu-ray/DVD special features include deleted scenes, “The Eye of the Storm” featurette, “Hollywood Heist: A Conversation with Rob Cohen” featurette, VFX reel, and audio commentary with director Rob Cohen.

The Superbowl TV Spot just came out for everyone to see. The movie looks intense in this ad.

The movie trailer is intense but that is all the visuals I have right now.

“Kong: Skull Island” Trailers

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, Kong: Skull Island is being touted as reimagining the origin of the mythic Kong in an interesting, original adventure. I must admit, how can a remake (or reimagining) be original. If it is original, then don’t call it a Kong movie.

In the film, a diverse team explores an uncharted island in the Pacific, which is as beautiful as it is treacherous.  But as they venture deeper into the unknown, they are unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.

The movie stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Brie Larson, Jing Tian, Toby Kebbell, John Ortiz, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Shea Whigham, Thomas Mann, Terry Notary, and John C. Reilly.

The screenplay is by Dan Gilroy, who wrote one of the Bourne movies, and Max Borenstein, who wrote Godzilla, story by John Gatins and Dan Gilroy.
