“The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” Trailers, Posters, Clips and Images

Tom Gormican directed The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent starring Nicolas Cage, who is Nicolas Cage in this action-comedy.

Creatively unfulfilled and facing financial ruin, the fictionalized version of Cage must accept a $1 million offer to attend the birthday of a dangerous superfan, played by Pedro Pascal.

Things take a wildly unexpected turn when a CIA operative, played by Tiffany Haddish, recruits and forces him to live up to his legend.

He channels his most iconic and beloved on-screen characters to save himself and his loved ones.

It appears clips and references to Cage’s movies are part of the script. So, he built his career by playing Nicolas Cage at this moment.

Sharon Horgan, Ike Barinholtz, Alessandra Mastronardi, Jacob Scipio, Lily Sheen, and Neil Patrick Harris also star in the movie.

Remarkable High-Stakes in “The Card Counter”

Written and directed by Paul Schrader, The Card Counter follows William Tell, played by Oscar Isaac. He’s a gambler and former serviceman who sets out to reform a young man seeking revenge on a mutual enemy from their past.

Tell just wants to play cards, and his spartan existence on the casino trail shatters when he is Cirk, played by Tye Sheridan, approaches him. Cirk is a vulnerable and angry young man seeking help to execute his plan for revenge on a military colonel.

Tell sees a chance at redemption through his relationship with Cirk. He tries to gain backing from mysterious gambling financier La Linda, played by Tiffany Haddish.

“La Linda’s game is like pimping without the sex; she has a lot of personality and her job is to make money for her investors,” says Haddish. “I felt as a comedian — since my job is to tickle people’s souls and convince them to go on a journey with me as I tell them a story — that I could bring the necessary charisma and personality to get audiences aboard for this ride.”

“La Linda is vibrant, she has vitality, and she has a life of purpose. William sees all this and finds himself drawn to this strange little trio, including Cirk,” says Isaac. “They become a lifeline or surrogate family for him.”

Tell takes Cirk with him on the road, going from casino to casino until the unlikely trio set their sights on winning the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. But keeping Cirk on the straight-and-narrow proves impossible, dragging Tell back into the darkness of his past.

“My aim is to create a crack in the viewer’s skull, opening up a rift between what they desire and expect of my characters and what they feel after spending time with them,” says Schrader. “How they make that adjustment is up to them, but to get the viewer engaged in this kind of conflict is what every artist seeks. It’s not so important what my viewers think, but that they do think.”

“The Secret Life of Pets 2” Trailers, Soundbites & Poster

Directed by Chris Renaud, The Secret Life of Pets 2  is the sequel to the movie about our pets’ lives after we leave for work or school each day. Not much is being shared right now about the sequel.

Blu-ray, DVD, and streaming are available for kids, young and old, to watch the movie as often as they like.

The sequel brings screenwriter Brian Lynch together with Renaud, and the cast is stellar, including Lake Bell, Hannibal Buress, Dana Carvey, Harrison Ford, Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart, Pete Holmes, Garth Jennings, Ellie Kemper, Nick Kroll, Bobby Moynihan, Patton Oswald, Jenny Slate, and Eric Stonestreet.

Introducing Chloe Furball featurette is one of many that introduces the different pets in the sequel.

Here is the trailer. I wouldn’t say I like the psycho mumbo-jumbo because there is a better way to show how humans don’t understand their pets. I highly recommend you visit CCHR and find out that disorders are bunk.

It appears The Secret Life of Pets 2 releases trailers that promote certain characters or pets in the movie. The following trailer is called “Daisy and Snowball” and shows Daisy’s personality, voiced by Tiffany Haddish. Kevin Hart is the voice for Snowball. Both Haddish and Hart starred in the comedy Night School.

The movie trailer for “Cat Lessons” is hilarious. I belly laughed and thought of all the people I knew who loved cats. They’d watch this trailer repeatedly.

The Rooter Trailer is about Rooster, the dog, voiced by Harrison Ford, who runs the farm. Two dogs from the city visit the farm, and Rooster has quite an influence on them.

The Busy Bee Trailer is cute, but the dog would turn the table over and get the toy. He’d be more aggressive and stupid.

The final poster shows an entirely different movie, and the trailer backs up that image. In the trailer, we see the lead dog going from a passive pet to an aggressive dog with hilarious scenes like the granny driving the car packed with pets.

Harrison Ford soundbites describe his character Rooster. Ford’s dry wit is funny, and he is pretty sharp.

“Nobody’s Fool” Trailer Criminal Sister with Online Relationship

Written and directed by Tyler Perry, Nobody’s Fool appears to deliver a message only Perry can pull off without being too preachy.  The movie follows two sisters, played by Tiffany Haddish and Tika Sumpter.  One sister is released from jail and reunites with her sister as they become roommates.

She soon discovers that her sister is in an online relationship with a man who may not be what he seems. As the story unfolds, we find out how the two sisters resolve their differences while finding out more about the guy online.

Whoopi Goldberg also stars as their mother with Courtney Henggeler, Missi Pyle, and Omari Hardwick, also starring.

The movie shows the situation and some laughs regarding the case between the two sisters.

“The Oath” Trailers, Movie Clip, and Posters

The above poster is perfect for the movie because the story takes place during Thanksgiving, and the characters are super stress over the Oath. With the knife sticking out like that in the turkey, you can only imagine where it will end up.  As a dark comedy, watch the red band trailer, so you have a feel for the movie.

Written and directed by Ike Barinholtz, The Oath is a controversial subject about a White House policy that turns a family member against another family member. They become savage. But don’t take it seriously because the movie is a funny, dark comedy about surviving life that includes a Thanksgiving. This is all happening in the age of political factions.

The story follows Chris, played by Barinholtz. He is a high-strung 24-hour progressive news junkie, and his more level-headed wife Kai, played by Tiffany Haddish. They discover that citizens are being asked to sign a loyalty oath to the President.

The second poster is quite interesting because it looks like its a copy of the Oath.  I find it kind of funny or perhaps it’s giving us a visual of the Oath. We what it is before we see the movie.

The family reactions are disbelief, followed by an idealistic refusal. But as the Thanksgiving deadline to sign approaches, the combination of sparring relatives, Chris’s own agitation and the unexpected arrival of two government agents, played by John Cho and Billy Magnussen, sends an already tense holiday dinner gathering completely off the rails.

The movie clip “Wishes I Would” shows the premise of the movie, which is totally a dark comedy.

Another poster arrived from the studio. The black hand with the American flag as its sleeve bleeding is an interesting take on how the movie views government intervention.

Another poster “Sign or Die” surfaced and these are interesting because they tell us the movie theme. They are kind of silly but the movie is a comedy, so it fits.

Barinholtz is known for his acting talents in such movies as The Blockers and The Disaster Artist.  Both of these movies are over the top dark comedies. The Oath is most likely similar.

The second trailer offers more insight into what is so funny about racism, politics, and ignorant people.  This is Facebook comments in a movie.

As contemporary as it is outrageous, watch the trailer, the movie is a gleefully wicked reinvention of the traditional holiday comedy for our dysfunctional political times.

Night School Trailers, Featurette, Movie Clips, and Poster

Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, Night School follows a group of misfits who attend night school. They have a longshot of passing night school and their GED exam.

Kevin Hart headlines the movie with Tiffany Haddish, Rob Riggle, Taran Killam, and Romany Malco.

The movie trailer looks funny and the movie has potential.  Learning disabilities are synthetic labels that prove nothing. Don’t by into them when you see this movie.

The movie is streaming at Amazon or you nab the Blu-ray or DVD for a night of entertainment.

The next three movie clips are funny. I am not sure if the story is good, but these clips are fun to watch.

The featurette explains the story and how each character relates to making the story happen.

“Girls Trip” Trailer

When four lifelong friends travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival, sisterhoods become rekindled, wild sides rediscovered, and there’s enough dancing, drinking, brawling, and romancing to make the Big Easy blush.

I have not heard so much filth in a long time. It looks like they are having fun, but not all women talk like that, right?

This trailer is hilarious.
