Stewart’s Performance Drives “Spencer”

Spencer is a dive inside an emotional imagining of who Diana was at a pivotal turning point in her life.” — Kristen Stewart

Written by Steven Knight and directed by Pablo Larrain, Spencer follows Princess Diana, played by Kristen Stewart, on that fateful weekend at the royal family’s traditional Christmas celebration at Sandringham Estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a lot different.

The marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles, played by Jack Farthing, has long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate.

“We all grew up understanding what a fairytale is, but Diana Spencer changed the paradigm and the idealized icons that pop culture creates forever. This is the story of a Princess who decided not to become a Queen but chose to build her identity by herself. It’s an upside-down fairytale,” explains Larrain. “I’ve always been very surprised by her decision and thought it must have been very hard. That is the heart of the movie. I wanted to explore Diana’s process as she oscillates between doubt and determination, finally making a bid for freedom, not just for herself but for her children too. It was a decision that would define her legacy: one of honesty and humanity that remains unparalleled.”

Larrain needed a strong cast because it’s a character-driven story. He feels Stewart can be many things. She can be very mysterious, fragile, and ultimately decisive. “The way she responded to the script and how she approached the character is very beautiful to see. As a filmmaker, when you have someone who can hold such a dramatic and narrative weight just with her eyes, then you have the strong lead who can deliver. She is a force of nature.”

The rest of the talented cast includes Sally Hawkins, Timothy Spall and Sean Harris.

Proven Government Secrets Exploit “Seberg” Poster and Trailer

Kristen Stewart evolved into a talented actress since her Twilight movies. The camera shows her upbeat, charismatic, and determined. Jean Seberg is Stewart’s next role, and she’s embraced the character as the title role for the movie Seberg.

Directed by Benedict Andrews and inspired by true events, the movie follows Seberg as the French New Wave darling and Breathless star.

Directed by Benedict Andrews and inspired by true events, the movie follows Seberg as the French New Wave darling and Breathless star.

In the late 1960s, the FBI targeted her because of her support of the civil rights movement and romantic involvement with Hakim Jamal, played by Anthony Mackie, among others.

Andrews tells the thriller through a film noir style. His directing credits include remakes of two Tennessee William’s plays: A Street Car Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Written by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse, Hoover’s overreaching surveillance and harassment to suppress and discredit Seberg’s activism destroyed her life and career.

The well-rounded cast includes Jack O’Connell, Margaret Qualley, Zazie Beetz, Yvan Attal, Stephen Root, Colm Meaney, and Vince Vaughn.

The next three movie clips offer the main plot point of the movie, which was the government spying on her because of her strong stance in cultural issues in America.

“Underwater” Terrifying and Horrific Trailer, Clips, Poster

Kristen Stewart is trapped 7 miles below the surface.

Directed by William Eubank, the studios promote Underwater as being about “a crew of underwater researchers must scramble to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory.”

Now, that is far from what is in the movie trailer. The poster says, “…something has awakened.” Horror best describes this movie starring Kristen Stewart, T.J. Miller, Vincent Cassel, John Gallagher Jr., Jessica Henwick, Mamoudou Athie, and Gunner Wright.

The movie is available on Blu-ray, DVD, or streaming.

Eubank started his film career as a second unit director and cinematographer. Now, he is a director, including the movies The Signal and Love, which won an award for Athens International Film Festival Best Director as well as Motion Picture Sound Editors, USA sound editing – direct to video.

Gunner Wright starred in Love about an astronaut in continuous orbit around Earth, out of communication with Houston, doing maintenance, reading old messages, and reading a journal from Civil War veteran.

Stewart looks good in the trailer donning a bra and short blonde hair. She is the focus of the story. A story that is not delineated by the studios yet. It looks terrifying and was shot well by Eubank.

The following clips show they are in deep trouble, and there is no safe way out of the situation.

“Charlie’s Angels” Posters, Trailers, Featurette, Clip & Images

Elizabeth Banks wrote, directed, and stars in the new Charlie’s Angels installment. Based on the trailer, it looks like a new angel, played by Naomi Scott, arrives and seems a bit naive as we follow her learning about what it is to be one of Charlie’s Angels.

She gradually becomes accustomed to the other Angels as they solve cases the standard police aren’t equipped to solve. With a woman director and strong female roles, the next generation of fearless Charlie’s Angels looks like a fun movie to watch as long as it is not too ridiculous.

the mysterious Charles Townsend

The modern and bolder version follows the Angels, which also includes Kristen Stewart and Ella Balinska. Still working for the mysterious Charles Townsend, whose security and the investigative agency has expanded internationally, hiring the world’s smartest, bravest, and most highly trained women all over the globe.

There are now teams of Angels guided by multiple Bosleys taking on the toughest jobs everywhere. The screenplay is by Banks from a story by Evan Spiliotopoulos and David Auburn.

Banks wrote the screenplay, stars, and directed “Charlie Angels.”

The new Charlie’s Angels movie is refreshing with rapid scenes and costume changes. I only hope the new version catches the audience’s attention enough to validate the prowess of these women.

The rest of the cast looks promising with Djimon Hounsou, Noah Centineo, Sam Claflin, and Patrick Stewart.

Watching to the movie trailer, it’s good to see Stewart in an upbeat role. I knew she had it in her.

The movie comes across so campy it might actually work.

The featurette shows a lot of behind the scenes footage and soundbites from the stars.

The movie clip called “Closet” is about the second closet.

“Twilight 10th Anniversary” Trailer and Poster

We all know the story, right?

The franchised started off with the first installment directed by Catherine Hardwicke. Twilight is based on a series of novels by Stephenie Meyer. Bella Swan, Kristen Stewart, doesn’t expect much when she moves to the small town of Forks, Washington until she meets the mysterious and handsome Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson. Cullen is a boy hiding a dark secret.  He’s a vampire. As their worlds and hearts collide, Edward must battle the bloodlust raging inside him as well as a small group of undead that would make Bella their prey.

I admit I never read the books nor seen the movies but I know of the Twilight craze.  Careers were launch from this franchise, and the fan-based is strong. With that, enjoy the tenth-anniversary trailer.

“Lizzie” Trailer, Movie Clips, and Poster

Directed by Craig William Macneill,  Lizzie is about the notorious woman Lizzie Borden, played by Chloe Sevigny. You might remember the famous or not-so-famous skipping-rope song about the woman who was accused of chopping her mother and father to bits.

“Lizzie Borden took an ax

And gave her mother forty whacks.

When she saw what she had done,

She gave her father forty-one.”

Still, there is a mystery to the true story that endures throughout American history. Many writers speculated in their own versions and books about what happened on that deadly day.

The movie follows Lizzie after a lifetime of loneliness. She finds a kindred spirit in housemaid Bridget Sullivan, played by Kristen Stewart. Their secret intimacy sets off an unthinkable act – while the movie explores the days leading up to the savage crimes in a dark tale of repression, exploitation and thwarted dreams.

The two movie clips below show the story’s dark and sinister aspects. Unfortunately, one of the movie clips is blocked, but the studio may lift the block in the near future.

The two movie clips below show some fine acting chops. I am impressed. Notably, the scene in the barn is worth a look. It is an excellent acting scene for student actors because the undertones are deep.

The movie clip helps you understand how the movie is presented. You will notice a date at the bottom of the right-hand corner of the screen. These are actual events that happened.

“Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk” Trailer

Three-time Oscar winner Ang Lee dives right into an extraordinary vision of Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, based on the bestselling novel. The film is told from 19-year-old private Billy Lynn, played by Joe Alwyn, who, along with his fellow soldiers in Bravo Squad, becomes a hero after a harrowing Iraq battle and is brought home temporarily for a victory tour.

The story is told through flashbacks, culminating at the Thanksgiving Day football game’s spectacular halftime show. The film reveals what really happened to the squad which contrasts the war’s realities with America’s perceptions.

The film also stars Kristen Stewart, Chris Tucker, Garrett Hedlund, Vin Diesel, and Steve Martin. Lee used a new technology that involved shooting at an ultra-high frame rate for the first time in film history. He created an immersive digital experience helping him dramatize war in a way we’ve never seen before. Lee directed and produced the film, from a screenplay by Jean-Christophe Castelli and based on the novel by Ben Fountain.
