“SuperFly” Trailers and Poster

Directed by Director X, SuperFly is a remake. The original played a significant role in the film industry.

Now, we have a remake, and the movie is being touted as reimagined. Director X introduces the movie’s genre to its characters, look, sound, and feel.

The screenplay is by Alex Tse, who also wrote movies like Watchmen and Sucker Free City. I never heard of these movies, but he is writing another remake—The Crow.

The second trailer tells more about the story as an actor narrates it.

Look at the movie trailer and see if the style, sound, and feel are befitting the original SuperFly.

“Kong: Skull Island” Trailers

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, Kong: Skull Island is being touted as reimagining the origin of the mythic Kong in an interesting, original adventure. I must admit, how can a remake (or reimagining) be original. If it is original, then don’t call it a Kong movie.

In the film, a diverse team explores an uncharted island in the Pacific, which is as beautiful as it is treacherous.  But as they venture deeper into the unknown, they are unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.

The movie stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Brie Larson, Jing Tian, Toby Kebbell, John Ortiz, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Shea Whigham, Thomas Mann, Terry Notary, and John C. Reilly.

The screenplay is by Dan Gilroy, who wrote one of the Bourne movies, and Max Borenstein, who wrote Godzilla, story by John Gatins and Dan Gilroy.
