McNamara’s other credits include faith-based films Soul Surfer and The Miracle Season. His familiarity with spiritual phenomena brings an inspiring battle against the odds of saving the lives of a family.

Doug, played by Dennis Quaid, has to fly a plane without the knowledge or experience to save himself and his family. He discovers the miracles that simple faith can achieve.

Doug and Terri White, played by Heather Graham, and their two daughters, played by Jessi Case and Abigail Rhyne, lead an ideal life in their small town. They are deeply involved in community and church affairs.

Doug and his brother, played by Brett Rice, look forward to the town’s annual barbecue cook-off, where they handily take home first place, distributing the leftovers to the homeless afterward.

When his brother unexpectedly dies, the grieving family travels to Florida for his funeral. Shaken by his brother’s death, Doug questions his long-held faith, distressing Terri, who urges him to hold fast to their beliefs.

After an emotional service, the family boards a private plane to take them home to Louisiana. But within a few minutes of takeoff, disaster strikes. Their pilot suffers a fatal heart attack.

Despite having no experience flying the twin-engine Beechcraft Super King Air 200, Doug has to take control of the aircraft and try to guide it to a nearby landing strip. Rough weather rolls in as he frantically contacts air traffic control for guidance, with Terri as co-pilot.

They put their faith at the forefront. The couple is unaware that officials on the ground are already sending ambulances and emergency vehicles to the tarmac, anticipating the worst.

With time running out, an aspiring air traffic controller breaks protocol and contacts experienced pilot Corey, played by Jesse Metcalfe.

Corey contacts Doug directly from his Connecticut home and provides step-by-step advice as Doug struggles to save his family from seemingly inevitable tragedy. If anyone is to survive, it’s going to take a miracle.

Warner’s story is about years of challenges and setbacks that could have derailed his aspirations to become an NFL player. Just when his dreams seemed all but out of reach, it is only with the support of his wife, Brenda, played by Anna Paquin, and the encouragement of his family, coaches, and teammates that Warner perseveres and finds the strength to show the world the champion that he already is.

“Midway” Posters and Trailers Heroic Feats of Fearless Men

Directed by Roland Emmerich, Midway focuses on the historic Battle of Midway as a critical part of the Pacific Theater during World War II. The movie shows the clash between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy, which marked a pivotal turning point during WWII. The film is streaming on Amazon.

Wes Tooke wrote the story based on the real-life events of heroic feats. The leaders and soldiers used their wits, instincts, courage, and bravery to overcome the odds and defeat the Japanese.

The movie’s huge cast is stellar.

Some of the top brass in the movie are Lieutenant Commander Wade McClusky, played by
Luke Evans, Edwin Layton, played by Patrick Wilson, Admiral William “Bull” Halsey, played by Dennis Quad, and Admiral Chester Nimitz, played by Woody Harrelson. The rest of the cast includes Aaron Eckhart, Nick Jonas, Etsushi Toyokawa, Tadanobu Asano, Luke Kleintank, Jun Kunimura, Darren Criss, Keean Johnson, Alexander Ludwig, and Mandy Moore.

Emmerich directing credits are rich with grandiose movies like The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day. Tooke writing credits include episodic TV shows like Colony and Jean-Claude Van Johnson.

The next trailer tells more about the story. Historically, the story is impressive. Doolittle and his crew perform an unbelievable mission.

“A Dog’s Journey” Trailer and Poster

Sappy, sappy, and tears, I am a sucker for a movie about dog souls returning to their masters or mistresses. What a great story about how friendships transcend lifetimes. The movie trailer tells the whole story, but heck, I am sold. I want to see this movie.

Directed by Gail Mancuso, who won an Emmy for TV’s Modern Family, it creates a movie about how some friendships transcend lifetimes. A Dog’s Journey is the sequel to the popular film A Dog’s Purpose. Bailey finds his new destiny and forms an unbreakable bond, leading him through unconditional love and companionship.

Bailey, voiced by Josh Gad, is living the good life on the Michigan farm of his “boy,” Ethan, played by Dennis Quaid, and Ethan’s wife, Hannah, played by Marg Helgenberger. His new playmate is Ethan and Hannah’s baby granddaughter, CJ.

The movie is available on Blu-ray and DVD and streaming online.

The problem is that CJ’s mom, Gloria, played by Betty Gilpin, decides to take CJ away. As Bailey’s soul prepares to leave this life for a new one, he makes a promise to Ethan to find CJ and protect her at any cost.

Thus begins Bailey’s adventure through multiple lives filled with love, friendship and devotion as he, CJ, played by Kathryn Prescott, and CJ’s best friend Trent, played by Henry Lau, experience joy and heartbreak, music, and laughter.

“The Intruder” Trailers, Clips & Posters

Directed by Deon Taylor,  The Intruder follows a young married couple, played by Michael Ealy and Meagan Good. They buy their dream house in the Napa Valley.

They found the perfect home to start a family and live happily together. But, the former homeowner, played by Dennis Quaid, is a bit strange. He continues to infiltrate their lives. It becomes obvious he is out to do some wacky stuff to the couple.

The screenplay is written by David Loughery, who wrote Lakeview Terrace and Tom and Huck. Taylor holds many directing credits, including Traffik and Meet the Blacks.

Dennis Quaid looks pretty creepy in this next trailer. I like how he transforms – becoming more and more deranged.

The second poster is pretty simple and shows the couple in danger and distress over Quaid’s presence.

The movie clip is called “He’s Cutting Our Grass” but should be called “It’s Hard to Let Go.” Quaid is doing an excellent job of being creepy.

This is looking intense, and having an intruder like Quaid is nerve-wracking. It is hard to communicate with people like this because they have an agenda. His agenda is to get them both.

“Kin” Posters, Movie Clips, Featurette, and Trailer

Written and directed by Josh and Jonathan Baker, the movie is about a young man and his adopted teenage brother. A revengeful criminal chases them, the feds and a gang of otherworldly soldiers. The supernatural means it has a science fiction twist to the story. Dennis Quaid stars as the father, and Carrie Coon, James Franco, and Zoe Kravitz star.

The young man, played by Jack Reynor, is recently released from prison. He and his brother, Eli, played by Myles Truitt, are forced to run. They have a rifle-like weapon of mysterious origin that Eli found. They use the rifle effectively because it is super powerful and needs to fight off some bad guys.

The poster on the right shows more about the movie. The otherworldly aspect of the story is evident. Not much is being told about the overall story yet.

The movie is streaming and is available on Blu-ray and DVD. Now it is your turn to watch it on your device.

Just below the poster on the right is the motion poster for Kin.

The poster focuses on the young boy who finds the alien gun.

The featurette teaches what it takes to be a sound designer for a movie like Kin. I love this stuff.

The movie clip shows Zoe Kravitz in action.

The movie clip shows how the alien gun works.

The movie clip shares a plot point in the story. That is interesting because I can’t imagine someone leaving that much money at a bar.

I am not sure why the movie is called Kin. It could be about the relations between the brothers being kin even though they are not blood-related. The title could be referring to the powerful weapon. Just have to see the movie to find out.

The movie trailer tells the story and what the two brothers are up against.

Faith-based “I Can Only Imagine” Trailer and Clips

Co-directed by Andrew Erwin and Jon Erwin, I Can Only Imagine follows a true story based on a song by possibly the most popular faith-based song ever played on Christian radio – I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe.

The story follows Bart Millard, who the lead singer of the Christian band MercyMe. His relationship with his troubled father played to the core by Dennis Quaid. I saw a dynamic clip of Quaid playing an emotionally torqued father. I encourage you to see the movie, just to Quaid, amazing.

The message in the movie, which is totally Christian, nobody is ever too far from God’s love — for too far from an eternal home in Heaven.

Blu-ray, DVD, and streaming are happening. If you are faith-based movie watcher or not, it’s worth seeing. The Blu-ray/DVD trailer is way better than the movie theater trailer.

The movie also stars Cloris Leachman, Trace Adkins, Michael Finley, Priscilla Shire, and Madeline Carroll.
